I saw it I liked it it was amazing movie

This movie proved that if movies like Starnge World and Wish were sequels they'd be box office hits. And honestly, they deserve it more than this one does. I had a really bad time watching this one in the theater though

Didn't see the movie. Refuse to see it since them turning a long lasting effort for a tv series into a quick cinematic cashgrab is something I hate to encourage by contributing to it's (unfortunately already astounding) commercial success. However, what I hear about it, all matches the "it was supposed to be a tv series" territory: - The songs were clearly not supposed to be in the story originally. - The journey has no sense of urgency: there's no reason to "immediately" solve the central problem with just a vague threat of problems in the distant future, which results in pretty low stakes. However, this is perfect for a central plot line in a more episodic tv series. - The impact of the mini-adventures on Moana's arc could have been done well (not sure if it would be oc) if given a whole lot of episodes. A little bit like the first season of Amphibia, where the protagonist slowly and subtly evolves in the course of a season. - The other characters would have gotten some more development as well and a part to play in the protagonist's journey. - Apparently all of the different acts feel like summaries of different episodes. - The apparent climax to the movie could have served as a perfect climax to season 1; delivering increased tension around the central plot, a seeming resolution to it, only to then tease a raise of the stakes in a potential second season.... A shame that we never got this. Also sad for the original writers and creators of the show: all of their previous efforts being taken away just to serve as a financial bandage over Disney's annus horribilis.

I really appreciate how balanced this review was while still being downright honest. I think it's very easy to just crap all over a film when it does honestly suck, but I like that you still took the time to commend Barlow and Bear on their achievement, even if the crunched deadline they had prevented them from achieving more. And I love that you called out that Cravalho really is a phenomenal actress -- even when the material just isn't good, it's still clear that she gives it her all. So yeah, the film is undeniably a disappointment, but only because it could have been better given the talented people who did work on it. Awesome video, and I look forward to more!!

For me I think even if Disney makes more movies/films in the Moana franchise they should still do a tv series. I think the world of Moana there’s a lot of room to tell multiple storylines kinda like the Rio movies. Which I do wish Disney makes a Rio series after Rio 3 but about different characters in the Rio universe maybe a different blue macaw from Jewels tribe could have their own storyline. Edit: the Moana tv series could be about them traveling around meeting new demigods/gods/goddesses and fighting villains.

I hope Anna won't have powers in Frozen 3. That would make no sense! She never had magic or learn it but could do it? I don't believe it! Also, if it happens; it will make her less interresting. I like her because she face dangerous situations without magic, just her courage and love for her sister. That's adorable 🥰Please don't change her Disney!

I love the first Frozen movie so much. It’s one of my favorite Disney movies ever. That being said, I have so many problems with the sequel. I couldn’t get myself to enjoy this at all. I know the animation is realistic but I honestly hate the visuals in this movie. It gives off a vibe that doesn’t feel like Frozen at all. It feels like something else. I really hate Anna’s & Elsa’s new looks, especially Elsa’s one at the end of the film. Like it’s so bad and looks nothing like her. She looks like a ghost. I know a lot of people say Elsa’s story is the best part of this film, but it honestly ruined her character for me. Elsa in Frozen 1 was my favorite Disney princess. I felt like F2 ruined her entire character by undoing her arc from F1 and contradicting important themes from the previous installments. But the worst part of F2 was how they split the sisters up at the end. I know sisters separate in real life but this whole franchise was built on their relationship. The whole point of Frozen 1 was to reunite them and they even sang a song in the Olaf Christmas short about how much they love being together. Elsa’s decision to leave at the end of F2 just goes against all of that. I honestly wish F2 never existed. I feel like this franchise went from a wholesome fairy-tale about two sisters who would give everything to be with each other to a mythological avatar spin-off about spirits and elements. Just seeing how the merchandise and everything else caters towards autumn theming and the F2 outfits just looks like it’s from a different film altogether. It’s like Frozen 1, the film that actually made this franchise popular and relevant and still sells way more money, is getting swept under the rug because of F2 😞

That documentary is one of the best documentaries about film-making of all time. I can't believe Disney allowed it to be released. It showed studio interference films without a script start production to meet a deadline. They even admit the teaser trailer footage was all test footage and that even by then, when they were releasinga trailer, they did not have the story for a film. I agree the film feels jumbled together, but, like you do, I love it. I think Into The Unknown is even superior to Let It Go. The animation is stunning. And to me, watching it, it felt bold and surprising. Sure, they undo all the bold choices by the end. But it ddn't completely take away from witnessing the moment first-hand.

thank u algo-gods for this gift 🙏i absolutely love and adore all the memories i have of my years at metrocon. it was my first anime convention, and even after trying others - megacon orlando, shadocon, holidaymatsuri, none of them could ever compare to metro imo. those halls, the chess match with the iconic metrocon gate and the fire show? i'll never forget it. metro was the closest thing to a vacation my friends and i could afford - we'd go EVERY year starting back in 2009 all the way until what ended up being my last one in 2018 as i started preparing for my move to canada. metro was the only time i ever felt comfortable in my own skin and my time in those blue carpeted halls got me through some of the worst times in my life. even now, after experiencing fan expo toronto and anime north - some MASSIVE cons with incomparable budgets and high profile guests could never hold a candle to metrocon. metro was truly by fans FOR fans and that is something that i feel is missing in most cons nowadays. maybe i am blinded by the rose tinted glasses, maybe now that i find myself more comfortable and confident in my own body even outside of those halls i no longer need the comfort of cons, but regardless it will always be the best con in my heart. i have a lot of...trauma regarding florida, especially tampa, but i hope maybe one day i can walk on those ugly carpets once more, assuming i can still handle the brutal summer heat now that i sweat when the temperature is about 50F 😅

I haven't seen any of the d+ star wars stuff lol but this was still so fun to watch and hear your takes! Stinky this is the overall direction but neat to talk about!!
