@@kriscotw9 thanks mate, it’s hard to get away from the table when I’m on my own but defo can take that on board. Cardiff’s only a 15 min train journey from Newport 😂 took me four hours to drive up to Cardiff on the way up and 3 hours back

@ Yeah I completely understand that, must have been a busy day. I don’t really have an excuse for the not going haha, I just always seem to be busy on the dates the show is on. That’s a hell of a car ride lol

@@kinell188 Comps not only show how much a card is worth on the market but also how desirable it is. As a seller, I need room on cards and prioritise ones that shift quickly. I completely agree that comps aren’t everything. I don’t mind if values fluctuate. I’m happy to ride the rollercoaster, but I avoid picking up autos that are only doing £1. I can’t be selling £1 autos for £5 and letting them sit in my case or flick-through boxes forever. It’s all about finding that balance between opportunity, condition, and market demand. Appreciate the support on the videos, the insight and love the discussion!

@@johnniejay not so much the market absolutely tanked just after I got out of it. Really glad I did cause I think I’d have lost a hell of a lot of money with F1. The hype died for general collectors after the 2020 chrome hype. I like the sport but it’s kinda hard to predict what cards are going to be the ones that increase in value, the only stuff I see going up are 2020 chrome and dynasty

​​@@SportsCardsUK Fair enough. I think a lot of the prices were run up by US card bros who didn't really know what they were buying. The hype died I agree, but the collector base is definately still growing. That said if it isn't your thing I totally understand - I do think F1 will see another move upwards in the next 9-12 months though, with the Senna dramatised Netflix series, the Las Vegas GP, a new season of DTS and the F1 movie dropping in that time. Given what the current GOATs of the sport are selling for I think its a massive buying opportunity, but to each his own.

@@johnniejay are there any specific sets drivers you’re focused on that you think there’s good upside for?

​​​@@SportsCardsUKWell I think you're right when it comes to ultra modern, 2020 Chrome and any year Dynasty will be the sets that gain value long term. The older sets that will continue to rise imo are 1980 Panini (Prost rookie), 1984 Panini (Senna rookie), 1992 Grid (Schumacher rookie) - theres some limited products from Futera in the mid 90s that look like strong plays also, as they were serial numbered.
