.... i love this but it also worries me. I hope they are able to shed light on the way KPop idols are treated and mass manufactured instead of just encouraging the younger generation to enlist in that toxic lifestyle. I hope to see artists like Hwasa from Mamamoo, Jessi, or Lisa from Blackpink and many more. These artists have been vocal about certain issues and have broken molds when its come to the KPop trad standards. The over polished industry needs to show a little realness soon.

But they both pale in comparison to The Beatles and Pink Floyd. I agree. Rock n' Roll came from black blues. If I was black, I would be proud of Chuck Berry, Jimmi Hendrix, and the fact that black blues influenced Rock n' Roll. K-pop is as much white musicals as it is black music. The difference is that K-pop artists brought singing back and made listening to music fun again. The singing and joy of black artists of the 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's is what's missing in today's black music. Black rap is all racial slurs and hate.

I agree that there are black influences in K-pop. But K-pop came up with the idea that every member sings lead in a song, unlike the black soul groups with one lead singer. K-pop came up with the idea of choreography for each song. 3rd generation K-pop came up with the idea to start and end each song pianissimo / retardo. K-pop came up with the idea to put musical bridges in their songs for dramatic effect. K-pop includes that traditional Korean high-low tone. There are many ways that Kpop is the same as Western culture songs. But there are many ways that K-pop is vastly different from Western culture songs. That's why some black and white people don't like it. We are living in the Era of K-pop. Chuck Berry and Jimmi Hendrix are the bookends of Rock n' Roll but the four white people from England are the biggest, most loved, most creative Rock group -- The Beatles. Kpop is well known to be a korean translation of american music. Black culture is so integrated with american culture that where american culture goes so does african american culture.
