Sir how much value compression?
What color did you paint this truck? Love the color. Also where did you get the canvas? Thanks.
@@X-Appeal not sure on the color as we didnt paint it. Canvas came from mid west military
@calhumps Thanks.
holes in the door and cab roof give you air ride seats?
Excellent 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Mydreem
Nice truck! Is it factory carburetor or upgraded to the weber carburetor? Seems to be moving pretty smoothly.
@@X-Appeal has a slant 6 valiant motor fitted, the leaning tower of power!
@calhumps more videos please. Do a detailed video on the drivetrain. Definitely was smooth.
Just like my but blue same year beautiful I loved
I’m amazed thinking that on the day I was born that car was already 9 years old and probably cruising around somewhere 🤣
aku cinta mobil anda
When I was a kid , I found a cab out in the woods for one of these. I checked on it and it's still there. I'm 66 now. 4:19
So many of the new trucks have so much flash with wazoo body styles. This truck is perfect. Simple and not all that pretty city boy flash and flare.
Hi, is it possible to send me some photos of the engine? I need to use them in order to confirm a similar Listard found in an old mill, that needs to be restored. We need somehow to date the machine. Thanks in advance!
A very cool old truck, thanks for posting
This is part of a disturbing trend; videos of beautifully restored classic motorcycles that their owners start and lovingly show off, but don’t ride!! What the hell?! The entire point of a motorcycle is to convey the rider from one place to another. Showing a piece of mechanical art is nice, but if you don’t ride it, it’s not a motorcycle, it’s a statue. So frustrating to anticipate watching a beautiful bike being ridden, only to have my time wasted.
Nicely inconspicuous.
We called our 2a Land Rovers puddle jumpers for the same reason. Short wheelbase, heavy duty suspension, bounce well. Shame another gearbox cruncher killing a revered CMP truck for "fun". If you don't know how to drive it, you don't deserve it till you learn.
Yeah didnt get much money for scrap either from it.
Woowww que cosita mas bonita 😮😮🎉🎉🎉🎉
Just like a Harley Davidson. Converting fuel into noise without the unwanted side effects of power and speed!
So sick
It looks like the black 202 engine from the VK Commodore has been dropped into the HQs engine bay. I have noticed a bit of the pollution control gear has been fitted into the HQ !
What a nice swap, even leaves plenty of room in the engine bay to work. You could've shoehorned a 453 in there but I'm glad you didn't, also can't imagine the added weight would've done any favours for the handling. This is the right Detroit for this truck, no question. Thanks for the video.
Oh wow. I've dreamed of doing this. Please tell what fuel consumption you got
Donno, just smiles per miles really.
Does it have a jake brake?
Nah
Sick cool
Is that a sticker on the tank or hand painted
Sticker
Calypso red interior.
Just like to add that the NZ number does not match you vehicle as I have the matching vehicle to NZ25592.
Not this shit again
NOT NUMBERS-MATCHING ALL-ORIGINAL REEEEEEEEEE you people, Jesus wept.
❤ four wheel drive, petrol oprated, frant side clip attached for reverse gear, left side stater rod, unique i drive this truck as commercial purpose.1978 call +919320152849 .congratulations with ❤️
By far the best sounding 3 pot in the world!! Only thing that comes close imo is the Commer "knocker" TS3
Beautiful machine she sounds so sweet
I like the 353 GM powered Toyota. How does it get along the road? Do you still have it?
Nah sold it a few years ago. Very noisey on road and was full noise at 100kmph
@@calhumpsI'd like to see some pictures of it? Do you have any pictures of the Toyota with the 353 in it?
Out last a Cummins. Detroits are tough.
God, the only thing that would make this Land Cruiser any better would be a turbo, what a great truck
Got my full driver's licence at 15 year's old in one of these back in 1969 cost me $5
He went from 1st to top gear 😅
Bang
What kind of horsepower and torque does that thing make? Sounds awesome.
Heaps of torque. Never went on a dyno
Very cool!
Stunning car I'd love to have one 💯👍🥹🥹
Hey did you end up selling the papoose?
Yeah been long gone for a while now
@@calhumps I have a build I'm looking at doing. Might just put together a replica-ish

How much, name your price 😎👍👍😁😁
Los Detroit diesel antiguos son los mejores, son más duros y confiables y de gran torque
That is just too cool.
My eyes are fighting with my ears..😂😂😂😂
New zealand?
Yes
What transmission are you using in that mate, doing a 80 series 353 conversion and I’m wondering how u did everything
We didnt fit the engine. The truck was running a later 4 speed from a 80s 40 series. Believe it had a big old adaptor plate
sounds like an old 2 stroke 3 cyl saab or wartburg 353
