The New Course Installer only works when you’re running Team Challenge 4.0.0.8. and your PGA cabinet is set up for online play. All-Access Pass is different and is Team Challenge 4.1.0.4. and is for offline play only. It has nothing to do with the New Course Installer and is not compatible with it.

@@ljpainting4086 the game won’t run without the proper sound driver. If you haven’t already added it then that’s probably the cause of your issue. good luck.

Hey. You must keep the videocard settings at the default setting ( 600 x 800 ). Just simply get an adapter if you need one to go from your videocard to the new monitor. Example: VGA to DVI adapter or DVI to HDMI cable. The game will still be native setting so don’t expect Crystal clean 1080p.

The only credits I could find were from the original PGA Tour Golf release ( arcade ) and, sadly, you’re not listed. Not sure why they dropped the credits from future editions ( championship, challenge and Team Challenge 🤷‍♂️)?

@@Drummer8282 Yeah I wouldn’t be in the original release. Joined Global VR right after the first release. I did the video production for championship, then I moved to producer for challenge and team challenge. That was a loooong time ago!

Im just getting new cards today so I should hopefully be able to get everything up and running I think ive found all the steps needed. I just need help on running the patcher. So i need to download that and burn it to a blank CD? then when the games kn attract mode run the CD? And then after that dial into the server and it should be good?

PGA tour gold team challenge Madden season 2 Nascar racing challenge Global VR all beasts. My buddy has madden season 2 running Ok. How hard is it to build an original hardware set up? They come up for like 900-1500 on eBay all the time. Problem is nothing local or I would buy one. Is there still a community that plays online ?

@@djm2373 where are you located? It’s much easier to find one at a good price then restore it than it is to source all the necessary parts. You could be looking for parts for a very long time.

Cleveland Ohio. I’ve seen few very nice ones sell for 750-1250. I mean good shape. Then I’ve seen them ask 1500. Anyways blows my mind this game couldn’t knock of golden tee complete in its day.

If you don’t have a computer, you’ll likely need a nytric card on eBay as this game won’t operate without one.

This is using a Dell GX280; GeForce 9600GT video card 3GB ram 120 GB SSD Remove the nytric card from the original computer and add it to your new computer. Run the original software discs. Then add the computer specific sound driver & Ethernet driver and then add the video card driver. After installation is complete, run the dongle emulator. The cabinet was a completely stripped down cabinet that was going to be used as firewood. I chopped it down then slowly sourced the parts I needed to restore it to a pedestal cabinet.

Oh I forgot to ask...no issues installing the original disks on the SSD drive instead of an ide drive?

I painted it only because it was scratched up when I got it. After I cut it down, I couldn’t ignore the scratches so painted the sides. The top is the same piece from the cabinet that is below the marquee which houses the speakers. I tried using all the parts I could from the upper half of the cabinet in which I cut off. Same for the air vent on the back side which is unseen when standing in front of it.

@Marty57 I’ll post another video. I built this pedestal for a friend ( Cam ). Yes, his basement is too dark to appreciate the beautiful cabinet 😝

DJM2 we have a number of guys in our online group who have both GT2020 and PGA and all prefer PGA. There are real PGA pros - Tiger, Scott, Rose, Furyk, Daly, etc. You can still create funny looking custom golfers. The courses are less silly - most are legit golf courses - TPC Sawgrass, Bethpage Black, Bayhill, Colonial CC, etc. There are some fantasy courses in the mix if you do want to change it up a bit. I don’t know what these things are selling for in your area, though, but I’d imagine they’re a lot less than a GT2020.

Oh I was comparing it to golden tee complete. I thought PGA was older didn’t know it was still supported online to this day. That is awesome and yes it’s WAY cheaper then golden tee 2020. Anything after complete is silly it seems like.

DJM2 The final edition of PGA is Team Challenge and was released in 2006. So comparing PGA Team Challenge to GT complete, it’s definitely the better game. PGA was ahead of it’s time. I have another video of this game running on a 30” IPS monitor. Looks as good as GT 2020. I’ve had a couple ‘GT complete’ enthusiasts at my house to play PGA and they’ve since converted to PGA. They’ve sold their GT for PGA and now play online every week. This game’s online features were resurrected by some passionate people and exciting improvements are still happening to this day.

I want to buy PGA for sure then. It’s a fraction of the cost of Golden tee complete.

and it looks real good to with commentary from videos I’ve seen. I was wondering why it wasn’t a bigger release. I’ve seen them from 700-1100 in great shape problem is shipping is an arm and a leg. I need to find one close. I can’t justify paying more for shipping then cost of the cabinet.
