Staining a table diy
In this video we show how to staining a table diy style.
We had a great veneer kitchen table, it worked well and was very practical to use but we didn't like the color of the table.
It was yellow after standing close to a sunny window for many years. We we didn't want to throw it away, so instead we wanted to try and stain the veneer table.
Now the difficulty in this is that the veneer is so thin that it is very easy to sand all the way through the veneer and destroy the beutiful surface.
But we thougt we would givi it a try.

superglue? Why not PVC glue?
Thanks for your input. So far it has worked with superglue for us, but PVC glue could be a better choice. 👍

Did you use 1 in or 3/4 in pvc?
I used 1 in pvc pipes.
Not to be picky but I need exact dimensions of what's to be done and at least an inventory list of materials that I will need again I don't mean to be out of line or unappreciative but this is definitely not for me

We used fabric used for furniture, because it is more durable

Love this idea, and I am going to do a similar thing. You kind of just skipped over the actual pully mechanism and how you installed that. Would love a follow-up video or tips on that part of this project when you get a chance.
Glad to hear you like this video. The pully mechanism was made from a piece of wood with two holes in, matching the diameter of the lamp socket.
