    Thanks Dani. Do you wait for your paper to dry before scraping in high lites? My paper shreds if it's still damp.

    • @DaniWatercolors
      @DaniWatercolors หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, I wait for the damp stage to scrape off highlights😊 When it’s too wet it’s not gonna work as the paint bleeds into the scratch, and if it’s too dry it just won’t come off. So there is a perfect drying stage that takes a little bit if practice to find. I suggest trying it out on a small piece of the same paper that you use for painting, just to get a feel of it. Good luck❤️

I like how the finished painting, pallet and live painting is all there to see. Most videos don’t show the pallet work and for me I learn best by watching it being done. Really great painting Dani. I tried to follow this tutorial. I think that the composition of this painting is really nice. As a beginner, I needed more explanation about the color mixing, especially regarding the deep values, as well as more explanation of the thought process behind the layering of pigments on the foreground and the tree trunks. The early sketch was also too light for me to see in the video very well.
