Bob, am having a running battle with Celebrity corporate. We arrived on the Ascent last week on a 13 night repositioning cruise from Barcelona to Ft Lauderdale. Paid a Kings Ransom for premium wifi for 3 devices - my laptop, and wife and my iPhones. Like you I never got to 5 mb down or 3 up. Worse the iLounge folks flat out told me Speedtest does not work at sea. I called BS and said I use it on planes all the time and they fly 30 times faster than the ship. I told them I had scheduled several Zoom and Teams calls for biz and the connections were so unstable, I had to turn off video and that I needed to periodically backup to Google Drive and was having issues. They looked at my phone asked me to upload 10 photos and said "see it works" I had to tell them that was barely 25 mb. One asked me Why do use Zoom, not Webex? I had to tell him, it was our corporate policy. Then he said I want to "observe' you doing a Zoom call. I said no - my calls are private. The whole conversation was strange - so different from the rest of the ship's friendly vibe. I reported all this to corporate and requested a partial refund and was told "too late - you can only get refunds on the ship". Seriously? To add insult to injury half way through the cruise they offered a promotion for the rest of the ship. Heck you are throttling folks who have paid for the full cruise and making it worse by loading more users on the pipe? I called around some people I know especially one who was on the recent RCCL round the world cruise and they got 10 mb most everywhere. RCCL owns Celebrity! Something is definitely off. I tweeted Elon earlier this week and told him stuff like this is not good for the Starlink brand but I think he is busy with bigger stuff at Mar a Lago:)

That's crazy, I got 98 down/46 up halfway to Hawaii at 39,000 feet on a Hawaiian Airlines flight with free Starlink.

I have just returned from Istanbul this last week and that was my worst experience of my holiday the taxi drivers rip you off somewhat rotten charging you what they like. One driver tried to charge me 54euro's to travel 2 kilometres, I said not have money for this he stop car and made me get out his excuse was to much traffic and wanted to take me the long long way around. It only cost 28 pound to go to the airport. I was forewarned about the taxi drivers it is still a shock to the system. Some taxi drivers are ok but the rest, you are there meal ticket. Turkie is a great place to visit the are great the restaurants bars, but the taxis ruined it for me, so people be warned

I also expected much better with Starlink and was very excited to use the service but the lackluster speed of barely 2-5 mbps most of my cruise so far is super lame. I didn’t much get above 1 mbps.

I had a plan all set to go to Istanbul. I planned out the hotel and the flight and I clicked the button to pay for everything. Then the confirm button was there. I canceled the whole trip. - The thing that really bothered me and was was very compelling was, every video in You Tube said, every taxi cab driver there will take you for everything you got.

Crap there is another type of scam that I have just been scammed with… They try to scam you saying that they are rushing etc etc they need to sell cuz they had no money left so they would sell them so cheap I accidentally bought 3 of them for 100 dollars I am pretty sure now that all of them is fake

I am now in istanbul yes taxi is the worst taxi in the world, be careful from them they ask 5 times the actual price and some times they cheat by accepting Uber then at the end they will told you that you have to pay Toll , they always ask for extra money, but to be honest not all of them like this , there’s a good people and decent

It doesn't matter what you use it for or need it for. If you're paying good money for the premium WiFi package, then it should be of good quality.

$250 to use the internet for a week is price gauging. I pay $420 a year for my homes WIFI through my cable company. What is missing from this video is the terrible speed of the Basic package that cost $27 per day. The company throttles back the speed making it impossible to do anything but read emails. Love cruising but hate the price gauging for WIFI.
