Was looking to get this rod for a beginning bfs set up, this video has helped with that decision go go ahead and try it. You have the set up I was aiming to build up.

Nice tilapia!! Yes sir they do work but the fish do take them off with just about every bite/catch. I try to tuck it in between the tails but they still get it. I went out last night to my neighborhood pond for a little over an hour and caught 12 bluegills and 2 dink bass with them on a black and chartreuse trout/panfish magnet about 2 feet under a float.

Really cool! The problem with these bodies of water is the fish get so stunted because most don’t allow any keepers just catch and release

I’ve fished back there a couple of times. Never caught anything. But see all kinds of other people catching bass all the time lol

I love the Gulp Minnows, but I hate the stinky mess they create, no matter how much you try to seal them up in bags etc, that juice always finds a way to spill out. Leland's trout, panfish and crappie magnets are a great alternative, especially when tipping the jig with a crappie nibble from Berkley. The nibbles also stink but there's no Gulp juice that can spill out. I have tested numerous times with and without the nibbles and there is no doubt that I have gotten way more bites by tipping the jig with a nibble than without it. I'm in North Carolina and the ponds that I fish usually have stained/muddy, low visibility so adding that little stinky nibble makes a huge difference. The durability is also better with the magnets versus the Gulp Minnows. I have caught 20 plus fish on one before it starts getting tore up.

Temu sucks, the rods and reels cannot handle the salt water. Quick to rust and break

We called them Green Snappers {limb}

Try letting drag lose a little, sucks to fight longer but also sucks to lose a good one by being snapped off, good fish :)

I can’t wait till spring so I can go fishing and not freeze my ass off 👍

hello, new sub here, glad to see another central Florida angler. Ive heard theres crappie in the area, I just haven't found any.

New sub. I'm in North Carolina and once the temps dropped about a month ago, nights in the 30's (I don't remember it getting this cold this early), the bite has been tough!!! I caught one 8 inch bass the other day, the first bass in about three weeks and I was never so happy to catch an 8" bass before. Ultralight panfishing is ok but usually I can go out for an hour to an hour and a half at the neighborhood pond and catch 12 -20, now since the temps have dropped I'm lucky if I can get 4 or 5.

I must still have over a dozen beetle spins & over a dozen rooster tails. I still catch fish on the beetle spins. The fishing has really slowed down here...water temp is cooling to below 50. I've seen people use the double Jig rig, I really need to try that. Pretty smart tying on 2 different size swimbaits. Sorry about the line snap. Gave ya' a sub.
