Hi sorry I should have made a simple guide on how to set it up, just connect your quest to steam via cable then from quest go to rift ( in quest setting it will show that your pc is connected and show ur pc name, this should take you to rift pc inferace from there u click on steam vr and once steam vr load click on space enine, u just need to have quest pc software installed on your pc

Thank you!...when I go into RIFT it's that weird white vr environment where there is a circular spaceship looking panel right? When I go into that environment it's all choppy and very slow and can hardly make it out. I think I have to tweak my pc display refresh rates and such because I set it to the highest performance for graphics at 240 mgz refresh rate and some other parameters. What do you think?

Yes this is the one and it's very straight forward.. usually It run very smooth not sure what problem do u have, another option if your wifi router is good then install steam link app from quest store and try through steam quest link but space engine is so heavy so better cable

@@vrspaceman What pc system are you running? I have a Geekom mini Ryzen 9 8945, 64 megs of ram AMD Radeon 780 GPU, usb 3.0 and my cable is 10 Gig. When I try to use the cable PC Link (RIFT) and steam VR it is so slow clunky and maxes out my system AMD Radeon 780 GPU @ 100%!! .. maybe an older system works better.

I found the problem...of course my new faster pc parts are not supported so I will have to purchase a pc that is supported.

Yes it doesn't run on standalone , also Meta have just shattered the whole studio, too bad this series was amazing

@vrspaceman i know I'm so mad because I'm fairly new to vR and i only have a quest, and this game looks amazing.

@tylerunderwoodmusic I am working on list of top quest standalone video soon but also check my video on shadow pc , if you want to try some of pc vr games on Quest

@vrspaceman i actually recently started using stim io for shadow pc and I played a couple games. But the ping times is so high that the game was still super laggy

@tylerunderwoodmusic depends on your zone and your wifi , but lag in VR is a terrible experience ...

I am so slow to enter the flat to VR world 😅 one day !!!

@@vrspaceman It's definitely worth it. I have a pretty midrange system (3080) and it runs great with Virtual Desktop.

@@vrspaceman not at all the standard 4080 used 256 bit 16GbVram and 4070Ti only 190 bit and 12 Gb VRAM. I have 4080 Super

To be honest no, I didn't buy the quest version but all games where I had both versions steam version always run better and even have better graphics even if the game originally developed for Quest !!! if u have a good pc get the steam version and use steam airlink
