Duluth East Central Girls Basketball 1 29 91
As an old soul person for Halloween 1998, this is what I call heavy nostalgia and Lord Jesus Christ look how YOUNG they were.
I love it!
This was a very bad day. The crime bill ruinned much of the country.
I remember Michelle Lee from the local news I live in superior I’m assuming whoever uploaded this video is from the Duluth/Superior area also.
Growing up on the hillside in 80s and 90s, it's really cool to see what it looked like from above. This video takes me back. And at the end we have Central High on top of the hill. Awe the memories. Thank you for posting this Northland Memories . Much love to 80s and 90s peeps
great seeing this perspective
Random question. Do you have the full games for these clips you post? Can you post if so? Great stuff!
Sorry this is all I got. Better than nothing!

Don't think this is the correct date, if this was while Hurricane Georges was out in the Atlantic and the new depression was in the Gulf, the date of this video is likely September 18, 1998.
Ah you're right! The tape must've had a 9 that looked like a 5. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thank you very much for what you are doing!
We've asked for it, now we've got it! Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! Topical Promos from a 1998 satellite feed, never shown from when we didn't move our own satellite dish in 1996, until now!
From the WoF Halloween promos, was that Bill Hader impersonating Vincent Price?

You can always tell the year by the amount of gray in his hair.
Wazzup 🎉😂 9:46
9/4/2024. I can't believe its almost 30 years old.
I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to @northlandmemories for sharing this video of this classic show AND, most importantly, for enabling the closed captioning for deaf people like me. Having been born in 1985, I grew up in the 90's and this is one of the shows I used to watch regularly. Good old 90's!
Do you have the remaider of this game?
Ahh the old NBC2000, drove the director nuts, sitting on the Tonight show slate.
Tough crowd
for sure remember these ads
Ahh the memories. The voice disclaimer was on mini disc as well as the theme music. Most (or all the cuts) were on one mini disc and you had a cue sheet for whatever the director wanted. Audio was to the left of production control and had a window straight ahead into the studio, anchors were at an angle and wouldn't be looking directly at audio op.
I miss the 90s
What ever happened to Mark Mallory after he left the station?
Final Score Spurs 105 Timberwolves 96
Tipoff at 6:50
Carl Herrera was on the Rockets until after the 94-95. This is the 95-96 season.
wtf
definitely not 94 if KG is on the team
The gray was just starting to set in
I actually watched this one live. The local station in my area cut away a couple of times toward the end of the game for updates on a tornado warning.
I believe Jensch was working his way off the anchor desk at this point. I remember auditions occurring after the 6p news over the course of a few days, because I had to prompt for the potential talent. Mark Mallory was chosen but he couldn't leave for a few months from a station he was at (fun fact: he told me he was Rich Eisen's replacement), so Dave was stuck behind the desk until late in the year.
This would have been between 1993-1995 due to the graphics used by KBJR and the NBC affiliate package as the 'Live at Five' open.
Thanks from a Spurs fan
Great video. Hope to see some more in the future. As a lifelong Duluth resident it's awesome to see these little time capsules.
I don't think this was '96 or '97. I am thinking more like early '90s just based on how everything looks. I love the vintage DTA busses, that station wagon Yellow taxi cab, and the old cop cars (now all the police vehicles are SUVs for some reason). Also the paramedics are wearing all brown jumpsuits which is kind of funny. Great video.
9:50 meh it should’ve been $15,000
Miss you Jay! RIP late night talk shows!!
That was good stuff.
8:07-8:09 Kuroko’s Basketball BANKRUPT the Bankrupt gotcha I’m sorry

2:52-2:54 Ace of Diamond BANKRUPT the Bankrupt gotcha I’m sorry
2 days after I was born, believe it or not.
Thanks for the upload. Love and miss the old NFL on NBC. Preseaosn action at its finest. Their intros are the best back then and better than anything today.
