there's something just weird about how erina only started to like souma because she found out who his dad is. Like, what kind of relationship is that. I feel like that scene kinda ruined the rest of the anime for me, i dropped it soon after edit: also they made the reveal of that identity such a big deal, it kinda makes me question a lot of the values in the show. Like how everyone seems to care more about his background than his actual cooking.

It was this ep " That ruined Saiba! " Thinking it must be a big canon event. Then after watching all seasons 😂 it was all his ego and couldn't handle the pressure... But it gave a heartwarming and loveable ending... Hoping they give one more season but the manga I've read is completely adapted, and no one knows what happens afterwards 😂😂 Sad but truthfully it was a rollercoaster of laugh and heartattack and the canon event at the end when came to know Nakamura Kid Asahi Saiba defeated Saiba Joichiro and nearly married his Sister lmao 😂😂😂😂

Looking back at it, what Azaminwas trying to do was basically save every chef the problem of having to go crazy over thinking of new recipes. Losing will and passion for cooking in searching for more possibilities to elevate their skills. That's what happened to Joichiro during his teenage years. But what Azami didn't realize was, it helped Joichiro mature and escape the shell that once was holding him back, and helped him reach new heights. Also, the fact that he met Souma's mother helped a lot.

Still my favorite episode because it reminds me of the advice Saiba gives Soma about cooking later on, about finding someone to cook for (meaning his wife) and you can see as the show progresses how much he (Soma) enjoys cooking for/against Erina.
