wouldnt surprise me if nintendo didn't want to buy Rare because of all the studio troubles. People forget people were leaving Rare to form their own studios, lots we're happy. Why pick up that problem?

if nintendo had rare ltd., they would have made some good to decent game for the gamecube to the "switch" already. but since that didn't happen and microsoft did kind of ruined them since xbox to xbox series x. but overall, rare ltd. was perfectly fine with nintendo, even if rare ltd. lack more employees - they could have keep it with other developers too.

Nintendo could still buy Rare. Would Microsoft sell 100%, 50% or 0% of Rare? At 50% they could have joint custody. With Xbox doing so bad and if Nintendo were willing to throw some money at Microsoft heck they might sell Rare.

I think Rare would have gone out of business if they had settled for Nintendo's offer. I know the popular narrative is that Microsoft were the bad guys swooping in with their bag full of money to steal Rare from Nintendo, but they actually saved the company. If Rare had stuck with Nintendo, they would have gone the way of Alpha Dream, they would have been shut down, and Banjo-Kazooie and Conker would have just become more IPs for Nintendo to neglect on top of all the ones they already neglect... Like Donkey Kong.

Just a few things: - The company was never called Rareware, it was always Rare Limited or Rare Ltd. Rare's games were Rareware but not the company. It was their own Nintendo Seal of Approval of sorts. - You're missing a lot of the projects that were in the works most of Rare's Xbox/Xbox 360 line-up were originally for the GameCube. - Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts was a product of the team having no where else to go with 3D platformers. The Banjo-Kazooie team was burnt out, that's why Grabbed by the Ghoulies exists. - I understand disregarding N&B because it was divisive from its original property but L&R doesn't deserve the hate it got because it improved every aspect of the original just more censors. - You disregard a lot of nuances with Rare, Rare wouldn't be an IP factory for N64-era titles. Rare might've made more sequels but from multiple interviews that is probably a no. - Killer Instinct might've occurred it was Microsoft's involvement that rejected their Xbox/360 pitch until 2013. - Tim Stamper hinted that BK was supposed to go beyond two main series games but Gregg Mayles only planned for two. N&B was a merger of two different BK game ideas.

According to Did you know gaming ! Retro Studios was given so much money to that the first CEO who spent all that money and not make games, had Nintendo given the money to RareWare, they probably would still be with Nintendo ! I would love to see Everwild if it is ever released, supposed it has difficult development. What is even more bizarre is that Microsoft has owned RareWare longer than Nintendo !

The reason Nuts and Bolts was made is because Rare run out of ideas for the series in general. See Rare generally resisted continual sequels, and usually prefer new projects. No Donkey Kong doesn't count because Nintendo owns the IP.

You should look up the history and the n64 version of "starfox adventures". Rare was such an amazing team and overall the Microsoft acquisition was a shame (viva pinata and kameo though we're great)

Nintendo and Noise made Custom Robo, not Rare, to clarify. Last Custom Robo game was Arena for the DS in 2006.

I don't think more Silver would mean more Blaze in that timeline, because in an ideal timeline where 06 was good, she would not be forced on 06 and remain in the series she belongs in, which is Rush, and be affiliated with Cream and not Silver, as she should.

Sonic 06 is good. Recently I've been playing a used Xbox 360 physical copy of it and can see that it isn't as glitchy as other people have been complaining that it is, (some glitchy problems but not too many) and that the loading screens aren't way too long, there's just too many of them and it's become one of my favorite 3D Sonic games. I'm still stuck at Kingdom Valley in Sonic's story but I won't give-up on trying to get through that stage as him, and later beating up Solaris as Super Sonic, Super Shadow, and Super Silver. If you want a Sonic 06 that you would think is good then try to download the free fanmade PC exclusive remake "Project-06" by Chaos X. I've been planning to do that after I get a gaming PC for myself.

Something I'd like to add about the League mode in Deca Sports 1 and 2: There's a mechanic specific to the mode called "Conditions" where, on the member select before every sport, there will be an emoticon beside every character's portrait; a yellow happy face (😄) means the character will play "above and beyond expectations" (according to both game's instruction manuals), meaning they'll perform better (I'm not exactly sure what "better" means in this context, but still) in the sport you use them in; a green neutral face (😐but green) means they'll perform at a normal rate, same Build advantages and all; a blue sad face (😖but blue) means they won't perform as well in the sport you use them in (again, not exactly sure what that means in this context). Interestingly enough, whether the Conditions change from sport to sport feels kind of random. You might use a '😄' character in one sport, but then in the very next they'll suddenly be a '😖', no matter how much he/she is used in the sport beforehand. Additionally, you can choose NOT to use a '😄' character for a sport, then he/she becomes '😐' or '😖' in the next sport you can pick them; this is especially the case for any 5v5 sports (Soccer, Dodgeball, etc.) where one character doesn't contribute anything, but his/her Condition drops anyway. Deca Sports 3 completely removes the "Conditions" mechanic for League mode entirely, most likely because of its '6-person team' dynamic and the fact that you mainly play with one member for the most part. (Technically Deca Sports DS [which came out a few months before DS3] had the '6-person team' dynamic and Conditions removed for League mode, but that's a spinoff so I'm not counting that.)

This mario strikers is what got Me into striker in the first place and then I bought the two original games so believe me I know what is like to play the striker cup. It’s way harder than battle league cup battle.

havnt even watched this yet but mario strikers wii was my favourite game as a kid so when this new game finally came out i got it as a christmas present for my little brother and myself. played about 3 hours and have literally never played the game since it was that garbage.

Makes sense, although I would skip franchises that already have a lot of characters. Obviously I’d add Guility Gear, DBFZ, JoJo, and Double Dragon characters. Although from these 4, you can easily make a sequel with Guilty Gear.

Tbh, all I simply want is an arcade mode. And maybe have Arakune playable.
