Raw gameplay of the updated Invasion Mode mod on the Nightmare difficulty (difficulty only affects AI damage against Slayer). Combat encounters now reset when the Slayer dies when they are active. This seems very punishing, but the Slayer always respawns with 30 BFG ammo & the demon players have to wait 60 seconds before they can use their heal/hazard and buff abilities. I hate chaingun shield. This is basically chaingun base fire but with close-range AOE. The drawback is that you move slower when firing and it takes a 1/4 second to charge up. No impact effect because it caused visual clutter. Chaingun shield crashes the game for clients so this will replace it in co-op.

Deathmatch Lightning Gun

This is the Lightning Gun weapon that replaces the Microwave Beam in the Doom Eternal Deathmatch mod. Reason being is that the Microwave Beam's auto aim feature is too easy to catch the opponent. The Lock on Burst mod has also been changed to fire 3 rockets freely without seeking onto targets for the same reason.

If you like the base campaign, then yes, I think they are worth buying. There are plenty of good mods that require either DLC. Buy the "Year One Pass" which includes both DLCs for a discounted price.
Damn wish I was a Pc player, the behemoth is certainly a cool concept. The conjurer, the mastermind and the cyber cacaos would be extremely oppressive and challenging to deal with(Good thing obviously).

man can you help me? No one helps me, I've been creating a map in Doom Eternal for 1 week, I have it 100% done but I need to add "load checkpoints" and learn how to make the player start with all the weapon upgrades, the dash and the flamethrower, no one responds and no I can't find help anywhere, I tried doing load checkpoints with "target_removesavegate" but it doesn't work for me, is that the right way to do it? with trigger and target removesavegate? or is it done another way, and I don't know how to activate it or where the player starts with dash and flamethrower and weapon upgrades, help someone help me
Have you not tried asking people in Discord? Or look at the official maps and study how they work?
@@Velser I entered a discord but I only saw information from 2023 or before id released the official mods, or I only saw people publishing their levels already made without giving help or anything (I don't know which discord I should join and people ask and answer questions) In TH-cam tutorials I only explain 5 basic things and nothing else, idsoftware abandoned the tutorials and no one made more tutorials of anything, I haven't found anything about loadcheckpoints, about slayer inventory, or demon encounters anywhere! Also, I don't speak English and it's very difficult for me. I've made beautiful maps with a lot of work and I can't publish them because of things like not knowing how to put invisible walls or when they fall, they reappear at the top or at the last checkpoint, etc. They should have made more TH-cam tutorials :(

@@Velser I just saw the entire forums and I couldn't find how to put "background music or music that starts playing when loading my map" it only talks about ambient sound effects, and doesn't talk anything about "musicentity" I found it very complicated to put files in overlay then it says it converts them, then it says I can't delete their files but should I replace the sound file they have? I saw that when converting to WEM it takes your file to soundbanks, but does anyone know what my files are and in soundbanks they are all just numbers? like for example 112828978278.wem, there is not a single tutorial on TH-cam on how to add my background music nor do I know who to ask God, I just want to leave Urdak's ambient music playing on my level and that's it :(

Uh bro so when I visit the mod portal to find this map. I have to search it by name to get it. The question is when the mod is updated which is yesterday why doesn't the mod portal let you know that is updated or not, if I didn't watched this video. I probably wouldn't have known about it tbh. If I'm missing something then pls correct me on this.
Yeah "Sort by Updated" should definitely be an option on the Mod Portal.

Stupid question time... I can't figure out how to load up my mod when I publish it. It's maps/deadsimple dot map in editor but when I try to load it once it's published? Nope. How would I do this? I had to unpublish it for the time being smh b/c otherwise ppl would download it and not be able to play it smh

I have a question, do you know how to make a mod that replaces the music on a level with another? For example, the holt replaced with cultist base music.

Also 1 more quick question if you don't mind: when replacing music in the game, you have to make it match the exact length of the track in game, however, the transitions I hear when editing and mixing aren't smooth in game. Is there a way to change the time when the tracks play? Thank you!

Congrats! I am trying to learn how to use this engine as well. One awesome thing about this is that, technically, with all of the tools you have, you could make entire new games with this engine if you have the time to code, model, illustrate and compose.
We might not just get DE versions of doom 1 and 2 but of doom 3, 2016 and all the quakes. Even a stripped down proof of concept map shows a lot of versatility.
honestly I doubt they even plan for master levels in TDA if they bring the mod portal to that as the community will make super hard shit, there won't be a point putting out something official if MC ML was anything to go by. their stats show ppl weren't finishing MLs and they needed to pace it but the mod community doesn't care about that fortunately.
I'm still playing thru Doom2016 (yeah i was late) but all this shit is getting me so excited to just get right into Eternal. Then when Dark Ages comes out I'm going to lose my mind.
