Not an Anne fan to be honest, but...her performance here was stellar to say the least.
Besides having a paoír of beautiful eyes, she can actually sing!
So much better than so many covers of this.
Impossible to listen and not cry.
Never stop loving never stop dreaming...
There was a time when men were kind When their voices were soft And their words inviting There was a time when love was blind And the world was a song And the song was exciting There was a time Then it all went wrong I dreamed a dream in time gone by When hope was high and life worth living I dreamed that love would never die I dreamed that God would be forgiving Then I was young and unafraid And dreams were made and used and wasted There was no ransom to be paid No song unsung, no wine untasted But the tigers come at night With their voices soft as thunder As they tear your hope apart As they turn your dream to shame He slept a summer by my side He filled my days with endless wonder He took my childhood in his stride But he was gone when autumn came And still I dream he'll come to me That we will live the years together But there are dreams that cannot be And there are storms we cannot weather I had a dream my life would be So different from this hell I'm living So different now from what it seemed Now life has killed the dream I dreamed
To me, this is the most realistic version of this song. If you hear the emotion put into how this is sung vs the actress in the stage musical… this version hits deeper in my opinion.
Gracias por todo él trabajo exelente 💕❤️💕 muchas gracias
My bf passed away this past October. He loved this song from the time we watched the movie. He would play it over and over. I never paid much attention. I just now listened and saw the lyrics and my heart is breaking all over again. I can only imagine why a song like this would touch a man so. I didn't realize the pain in his heart. I knew he had some issues but we never got to explore them or try and heal. I had no idea...
What movie?
@@sweet_KALI_ Les miserables I guess
@@sweet_KALI_🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ are u dumb????
I hope I make it through this period of my life... once I die, I can no longer gain any wisdom or hindsight. Half of the time, I hope this will all end soon, and the other half, I am manically trying to extend my lifespan. Sorry for your loss.
I watched this movie all the time with my mother and siblings, and I never expected the soundtrack to become so nostalgic... I guess the movie reminds me of a time long past, that I can never return to. At least I can sing along better now.

You must be a sad and miserable person.😢
THE EMOTIONS....ARE SO REAL....IN THIS SONG....WOW....THE LYRICS TELLS GOOD AND HARD LIFE STORIES.......😊😅😮😢😂
What does it mean 03:37 ( And there are storms we cannot weather )
Means you cant handle all the misfortunes the world put you through
What a talent she has and terrific passion and feeling in her voice. Bravo!
So powerful
Beautiful! Brings me to tears!
Anne, sister, I love you. Wanna talk. It's me. Your old husband. I wanna talk to you about helping me cure AIDS and making some movies and I need the new Star Wars ready to go. It's urgent. I gotta get the next three out. I have to get to the debut of the first one and you may have to help me out. Love you. JJ Abrams
the song is about a loose women who got good dick from chad who never wanted to commit to her
Now, I can go and die in peace. Good-bye.
Tô contigo manu
O melhor filme com a Anne Hathaway, que assisti ..muito triste..música maravilhosa ..
What an outstanding talent! Beautifully done!
Les Miserables...! Anne Hathaway.🎤🎙️📡🎹
But will you love me tomorrow.? Better song less screaming
Master class. First class.
Pure emotion. Good job, Anne.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
So beautiful.... Better than any other version. It really hits my heart.
That was such a brilliant choice to move this song AFTER Lovely Ladies. It's ten times more powerful this way.
I agree. In context of that previous song, the degree of exploitation really becomes clear. This whole film/book is a portrayal of different levels of exploitation, from the individual to the societal level.
Shocking... Bleeding heart shattered by the cruel reality.
This song is so beautiful but sad. I am auditioning for Fantine in my school’s Les Mis musical. I am going to sing this song. I love it sm! ❤️
Did you get the role?
Camille, good luck! 🍀
“He took my childhood in his stride” The way she screams with such sadness, with such grief, anger and helplessness; the line alone hits dangerous and painfully close home.
I tried to sing this song, but ended up with crying instead 😢
We all come because Lucifer and God sing this song like if I’m right 😂
I LOVE this song!! I have never heard it before or seen the movie! I must now. She is a superb actress!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Like people watching this after lucifer
that was awesome 😍
I'm so in love with this song..... So much meaning and truth
Okay everyone let's just admit it this is not a vocally good performance. And actually crying while singing is a big no-no since it limits how well you can sing. But her acting skills won her the oscar.
It's suppose to be like that tho
She snapped!
the only way you will not be moved by this song is if you have had a life of privileges
The words come to late to sing along.
0:50 is when the actual song starts
2021 wya?
hits different
:'(
I loved this moment in the movie I thought that she did this song with such passion I was almost in tears.
This song gave me goose bumps when I first heard it. The raw emotion in her voice, in this entire scene in general, felt so real and I honestly ached for her. When she practically screamed out the words, "I had a dream my life would be so much different from this hell I'm living" it just gave me chills.
I almost cried it was so good
"Ached for her", I feel the same each time.
From experience..
Amazing
