I don't usually run any software/daw when I do Live looping. This setup was an Akai mpk mini play into a Boss RC-202 looper. Recording was done straight into my phone through an IK Multimedia iRig stream.

You can hook up a foot switch to the rc202 for hand free operation which I had for this video. These days I'm just running it without one and creatively timing my button pushes. It's a cool unit, but if you are predominantly looping guitar, I would say the rc-500 may be a better choice. I'm doing mostly synth/keyboard stuff and using post effects on the looper to manipulate the loops. Thanks for watching and good luck! 🙂

I don't mind at all, it's a bit of a mad science rig 😉 Guitar into boss ir2, delay, reverb, direct into mixer, akai mpk mini play into mixer, 2 mics into mixer, aux send for effects into eventide blackhole verb and boss re202 space echo, and main outs going into boss rc202 looper. I also run a novation circuit rhythm for drums/sequences. The looper and circuit rhythm both go into another small mixer and I run my headphones off of that and main outs to the house mix. I have everything midi clocked and synced for program changes, though I have noticed some problems running clock from the circuit rhythm to the rc202. I am going to try it the other way around to see if it helps.
