Don't use speed brake to increase your descend rate all the time...naff and noisy. . Just increase your speed by speed intervention or select Flight Level Change and speed up ....monitoring your path deviation +- 400 ft symbol.
What pathetic, dangerous instructions. .. Use of V/S mode comes with a HEALTH WARNING... There is NO speed control in V/S mode....BEWARE. Could be critical on a heavy aircraft at high altitude... You might approach the stall if distracting or not monitoring. Don't listen to this potentially DANGEROUS rubbish...
This answered my question when I heard a United captain making an 'airspeed intervention' on the climbout out of ORD in December of '21. Mystery finally solved, and good times looking back

Exactly speedbrakes will take forever to get you to regain path. Increase target airspeed instead

He should say...monitor your legs page to confirm constraint restrictions removal. Double check......
