Razor clams, digging, cleaning and processing
You mentioned you had the motor replaced under warranty. I have the same planer and only used it a half dozen times and the motor literally just smoked on it. Is this the same issue you had with your motor?
@@kylecrawford810 the belt would slip and start burning on mine. I had the first motor just burn up after about 6 months of use as well. I have found this is a good hobbyist machine but when I started using if almost daily it definitely didn’t live up to hard work.
How tall are you again ? LOL
@mikelenahan9253, lol. I’m 6’1”
Have plans? Love it
@@DavidBoston-rx2yi I don’t have plans yet but I will soon so you can check on my Facebook page @beardedfamilyman for a link when I post it.
Nice work and great solutions for issues.
Saw other plans for these and really like yours
@@dennisboyd144 thanks for the compliment and I’m glad you like my version of these. Happy building and carving.
How much did you spend for the shed?
@Zdosse, as the builder I was invested about $500
that's a lot of nails
@@derekshot5375 you’ve got to make sure things won’t break when you live in a area that sees more rain in one month than most states do in a year.
What measurements did you end up with on this shed?
@@Jfav-y7l the base is 4 feet by 4 feet and just under 5 feet at the tallest part in the front.
HONK!
Theyre good as a specimine, or small space. Thats about it.
Thanks for your honesty. Tuning in to see if you can air layer the paperbark. Another video showed the same self healing. Maybe the unusual bark heals itself well. Don’t think I will try upon seeing this. Will just buy another for $35.
@cblankenship3018, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. These trees have been extremely difficult for me. I have tried hundreds and only have 5 successful.
Hi, What did you do after spray painting? Did you sand it.
Love it
Good job and project thx for sharing enjoyed it Keep building
@larrystone5749, thank you and I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
Hey, can you expand on how you did the door? I need to do one like this but need some more guidance
@grandslamhoneinspection9138, Start by framing the hinge side of the door and add the hinges with just a couple screws in each. Then once the hinge side is square and moves freely you can cut the door to fit the opening. This will allow you to build the door to fit the building just in case its not perfectly square. You can add a small border around the outer edge once you are all complete if you need to have a better weather seal. I hope that makes sense and help, happy building.
Is it okay to have the shed close to the house as I see where the exhaust exit is near a window to the house.
@sonvo4095, that’s a window in her garage and if you need to run a backup generator it’s more than likely it’s due to in climate weather so highly unlikely any windows would be open.
I wouldn't toss the two initial tries out, you can also still sell them. What i have learned about wood and epoxy, is always put a very light coat on first, then let it dry and that is usually enough to keep it from bleeding out. Thank you for taking time to film, edit and post this video. Liked and subscribed.
They both turned out nice. How does one go about ordering the set? Thank you for taking time to build, film, edit and post this video.

Funny, installing transmission and work in power plant aalso
@alx9018, I’m lucky to enjoy work and work at home. Hope you enjoyed the video.
how old were these goats?
@nevinkuser9892, they were just over 1 year old.
I got a 560, I put a new pump in it, my hydraulics are still weak
@213jjv, check the hydraulic strainer located in the block under the steering. There is a small orifice tube that can get clogged when pumps fail. I am not 100% sure with that model but I think you can adjust the pressure by turning the tabs on that same block. If you trace the lines some should lead to your PTO, power steering and front accessories if your tractor is equipped with it. Hope that helps and best of luck!
I have the same planer, bought 3 weeks ago. it doesnt plane level, left to right. have you found any way to adjust the head left to right? thanks....your belt replaement video is very helpful.
@markbaldwin975, I’m glad you found the video helpful. I would suggest checking your blades to see that they are evenly worn. If those are all equal then I would check the adjustments on both side rails. Hopefully that helps and best of luck.
I recently bought some seeds of this fine looking tree. Scarification will help increase success rate according to instructions given. This along with soaking the seeds and then straification.
It would been good if you walked us through what you did to hit play.
Thank you so much for answering me quickly. I would like to hook up a switch to control the lights at will. I can't seem to locate a good spot for the Nilight 3 in 1 switch unit. You have the same PU. Do you have any suggestions on where to put the switch unit?
@viewer2325, if you don’t want to cut into you dash the center console had easy access and a ton of space to add switches.
thank you for the suggestion I did not think of that but now I will look this over@@beardedfamilyman243
did you use a switch to turn them on? If so, where did you mount the switch?
@viewer2325, I just piggy backed them directly into the reverse light fuse under the dash.
Looks bitchen my dude
Great project and love the final results. Sorry it took a few practice runs. Apparently I needed to practice cribbage boards lately, so I know the feeling. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to the next project.
@WindRidgeWoodCrafts, thanks I am glad you enjoyed it. I don’t mind mistakes they are just opportunities to get better. Best of luck with your woodworking as well.

Great project and love the way you finished up with the knife, as well. I like the laser enclosure with the fan and outlet hose. I'll be moving from the garage to our pole barn later this year and need to keep that idea in mind.
@WindRidgeWoodCrafts, Thanks I appreciate it. I add the exhaust port for my laser and my CNC so I can use either tool with the port.
Turner out freaking awesome bro
@inhalethetrail3935, Thanks man
Checking out the CNC videos and had to watch this one!! Love a mess of Razor Clams. Some good clam tides on the Washington coast this week!
@lha9310, I hope you enjoyed the videos. We are hoping to get some more clams this weekend.
Which type of wood material is use ??😊
@ronakvaghani9573, I made the carving out of maple and the border is cedar so it will hold up to the Washington State rainy weather.
Making my table and my woodworker comes in tomorrow... but I'll have to wait thisnweekend to get after it! Thanks for sharing! I'm in the south sound....btw.. lol
@Hateweek1984, I am glad you like the video. You will love the Onefinity it’s an incredible machine. I am in Rochester so just a hop and a skip from you.
6 dollars worth? those are almost 6 each.
@sideofhustle, I get these from my neighbor with his own mill for $2.00 a board
@@beardedfamilyman243 nice. just built 4 and the boards for me were just under $6 per. I figured you got it at a retailer because the barcode stapled on it.
what keeps teh blade tight?
@ccpanel, I use a 1/16 bit and pre drill the holes for the stainless steel screws. If you put one screw at an angle it will tighten the blades.
Beautiful animals.
I have a 1948 1.5 ton tilt bed dodge grain truck. Has the flathead 6 in it 4 speed with 2 speed rear end. I have the sloppy steering issue too. But my truck runs like a champ even starts in cold weather with no real issues just needs a lil chock for a min
guard dog over goose
i just got a used trans and put it in, it seems like it’s closer to the front of the truck and not as far back as the last one used to be, i can tell by nuts that hold the trans to the cross member and i can’t get the oil cooler lines lined up properly…. any ideas anyone?
@anic6802, did you not compare them prior to swapping?
@@beardedfamilyman243 got it all figured, had a buddy thread the lines in , all working now
This is one of the best gen shed videos I've watched! I am finishing up a similar shed. One thing is still confusing...heat management. When you have a wooden stick built gen shed that is vented with a fan, what do you need heat insulation for? How big is the risk of fire? And I see that not all panels are covered with insulation which seems incomplete?
@billszymanski4844, I am glad you enjoyed the video. We live in a temperate climate in Washington so if she needed to run the generator the ambient temperature wouldn’t get extremely high so I didn’t think it was necessary to insulate the entire shed. She was only running a couple outlets so the generator wouldn’t be under a large load more at idle. I mainly added the insulation in the areas directly next to the heat source like the engine and exhaust.
was hoping this was an upgrade to the new masso controller.
I have no intention of upgrading after seeing all the problems some people are having.
I keep hearing to use acid to scarify the shell, with a germ rate of less than 10% the acid can raise it to 40% - 50%. I have a few hundred I'm going to try
@jacklegminercanada3866, I will have to give that a try thanks for the advice. Best of luck with all of yours.
Man, those aren't just white. They're Michael Jackson White!🤣😂
@t.lweisco8055, man that just made my day!!
How did you end up getting the top bellhousing bolts out in the middle of this job myself looking for advice on those thanks in advance
@jordanlouden8265, the top bolts can be removed by using a lot of extensions and going behind the motor from under the hood.
