Hi. My name is Mike Chipperini (Chipper) and this channel is dedicated to the Adventures of the RV Chipper’s Island. These adventures take place predominately in my 2023 Winnebago Travato 59K. I'm a retired soldier of 20 years and recently retired after 21 years as a Gloucester Firefighter. The 59K is my retirement gift to me where I will explore America, along with other adventures, and pass on knowledge and my Travato exploits to my channel subscribers.

Went there back in 2018 with my dad and his parents. We were on newer Honda Valkyries, and we stayed at a hotel in Sturgis. My dad took me to tour the Broken Boot Gold Mine, and it was hailing when we got there, so we had to wait in the car. We brought the car because it had our luggage and some snacks for the road. I need to go back up there and ride a steam train in Deadwood.

I was stationed with the ASA in Augsburg FRG 1975 to 1978 with Service Co. I was an MP at Gabligen.

What speed do you usually drive to get 16.7 mpg

@@ChippersIslandAdventures We started with a diesel pusher about 11 years ago three years ago we sold it took a little break and two years ago we purchased a class C Winnebago 30j . We are on a 4000 mile trip currently and it’s a real pain towing a car and finding a place to park and unload. We are more of a gypsy style campers then we are driving to a campground and sitting there for a week two or three weeks. I do like stopping in a campground for a day or two for a break but we enjoy driving to different sites and learning about history and hiking trails. Don’t mind Boondocking I think it’s a lot easier than getting in and out of a campground just for a night sleep. While we had a down day, we went to a local RV store and looked around at the class b’s we really fell in love with the Winnebago Travato 59K the only complaint I would have would be the refrigerator but we talked about it and feel as much as we travel around. There’s always plenty of Walmarts to stop and pick up two or three items so we don’t have to store a whole lot of stuff.
Nice video, you probably didn't realise but Sinead O'Connor's former house was one of those Georgian houses across from the beach in Bray. Down towards the Bray Head end of the beach

My family and I stayed there a couple days,33 years ago..Right after I returned home from Desert Storm..The first of 3 deployments..My daughters were 4 and 8 years old at the time..The grocery store and the burger joint was there at the time,nor was the lazy river..

Great job. My new Entegra Odyssey Se is great, but never knew where the water filter was. Never knew how to drain water heater. Can Inuse that siphon hose to pump in some vinegar to rid my hoses and system from hard water minerals, too?
Thank you for watching. I believe you can but like anything else dilute it. I believe you can also use it to sanitize as well. My question is why? I’d rather use a good filtration before the water hits the rig. Good luck and all the best!

Is there ANY recline on the driver seat if seat moved forward a bit?
Thank you for watching. Yes there is. How far forward you go will determine the amount of recline which is some. In my case it’s very little. Hope this helps. All the best!
Have you tried using a "flat" hose to hook up to city water? I have heard that the flat hose fits between the door seal and the cab, and allows sufficient waterr pressure to the rig. Bonus points for rolling up MUCH smaller than a normal water hose. They are available at WalMart, Amazon, and lots of other places.

Back in the day, Dolores and the band recorded a demo of a new song on one of those old style tape recorders. They, her husband, my parents and a few others went into a pub called Nancy Blake’s. She played the song for her manager. He kept saying “I don’t know, I don’t really get it, I don’t know what you want from the song” that kinda stuff. But she pushed until the made the song and released it. It was LINGER!!!
