I don't agree with whoever saying that Arya is too cocky. He is very OK and it's still in the normal attitude on court. You guys need to watch more Badminton live in higher level such Superseries, World Championships, All England. I don't really get it why the umpire gave him a yellow card to Arya. Because of his behaviour? Come on! Perhaps Arya was just new comer in Canada and the people don't know more about Badminton. None of the opponents complained of what he did. They are having fun.

If the shutte doesn't make it completely over the net and into the opponents court, the point goes to the opposing player. Stalling on the net is the same as hitting the net and losing the point. It's not a let. it's an error. That tournament official is incompetent. Players competing at this level should know the rules. It was Yang's responsibility to make that call but his youthful naivety cost him a point (that yes, i realize he ended up winning anyways). It's safe to assume that because Perdana chose the identical net shot off the reserve, allowing Yang to dominate the rally, he was aware of the rule and knew it shouldn't have been a reserve but didn't want to give up the competitive edge by relinquishing the point that easily.

Andrew lost because compared to other badminton super countries our training and skill caps is lower and Wenchao Shi is a international level player in China. But lucky us we have international players here playing with and against our Canadian players is really raises the skill cap and pushes us to become stronger!
