What I love about this scene is that There was genuine concern and even MAYBE a slight amount of fear in Sukuna's face. He didn't sense the 200% Hollow Purple until the very last second, and while he still managed to defend himself against most of the damage, it still resulted in him temporarily losing his arms in order to block it. And Purple is powerful enough that Sukuna goes out of his way to try and stop Gojo from using any form of it later in the fight.
