@@VinnyTR thanks buddy! That was last summer. Would definitely be easier to cross that channel on an efoil! I’ve actually done that as well. But I liked the challenge of doing it on a stand up paddle board… was good practice.

@@adolfallesch7648 yep… I have the same experiences. My next step: get off the HA foils and go back to traditional surf wings on lower and mid aspect ranges. Honestly, I can’t figure out why people froth over the HA… they just feel so unstable and hard to maneuver.

Big Will! Thanks brother… I’m really torn on this unifoil wing… I’ve been meaning to pick your brain about high aspect foils… I’m thinking about just going back to my traditional Armstrong or Lift foils… they ride so much smoother! What do you think?

@@stokedforsuccess100 I think going with what feels right is the right move. There are many positive traits inherent to low aspect wings that are traded off to get more performance in the high aspect wings. Don't trade of things you like for things you don't need. 🤙

@@dannyvardanian I’m riding the lift 4’9 efoil here. With folding prop. And 200 surf v2 front wing, 48 carve tail. My favorite set up on the efoil… thus far. Don’t worry too much about going fast… just get used to cruising around and carving with style … and enjoy the ride. 😎

I'm not all that worried about you if that's what got your panties in a twist. My main concern is setting a positive example and encouraging others to wear helmets. It can create a culture of safety, reducing the likelihood of accidents involving multiple people and minimizing emergency situations. Buy a helmet, "adrenaline junkie"

Hello there. I’m riding the 150 HAX high aspect foil from Lift here.

Hey Jeremy… I think you would really like the Hamboards… they are really good at making super tight and more radical turns… can turn them on a dime. Very agile and can get them going fast, especially the long board SUP that I ride with a land paddle.. called The Logger. I love it. Good cross over practice for riding a downwind SUP board too. I have one Carver board .. been meaning to ride it more. The Carver pumps a lot better and easier - that’s the advantage of a Carver over a Hamboard. I love both, but on this Hamboards, I can go for miles just cruising and paddling on land. When I can’t get in the water due to time constraints or other reason, I’m reaching for the Hamboards. Thanks! It was blowing right around 15 knots that day. I’m riding all Armstrong gear, with the Foil Drive Gen2. Armstrong 115 litre foil board, with a 2400 front wing and surf stab. 4.5 meter hand held wing. Was a great combo for me with the foil drive in those conditions. 🤙

Interesting... Those are normally conditions you can go without foil drive. What's the lightest conditions you have tried it in?

@@cousinvinn The lightest conditions… probably around 7-8 knots. Works amazingly. I still use foil drive in slightly higher winds too just to give me a boost to get up. And then it’s straight free foiling.

You got it… this session was from one year ago. But I still ride the same gear to this very day. It’s a 115 litre Armstrong wing sup foil board; forward geometry make. The wing is 4.5 meter Armstrong wing. The wind on that session was super light… around 10 knots. I was riding the 2400 front wing, also Armstrong. I was about 215 pounds there. 🤙

@@stokedforsuccess100thank you for the response. I just tried it, but the wind was too light to lift the wing. I had to deflate but the foil drive brought me back safely to the beach

Thanks a lot! I’m using an insta360 camera here, mounted to the front of the board with an extension stick. I love cruising around on this land paddle.
