Probably never use them but the moment you leave them at home you get stuck in the mud. Finding a place to put them is difficult as they are BIG, so let's stick em on the roof.

Thanks for the info. I could listen to your accent all day 😅
Ah thanks have a new vid coming where I lose the plot🤣
Fantastic upgrade to the original design, can you help with printing please? I don't know anyone with a 3d printer unfortunately, and would gladly pay you,
I can it’s a 10 hours print and I’m away for a week I assume you are in the uk?
@@whereonearth1 I am yes, thank you for getting back to me.
what size and force of gas strut do I select on the eBay link?
These are 200n and 900mm long
Thanks doin this just now on my sprinter and the wee clip that goes onto the plastic isnt obvious so that helped though still having abit of bother lol
You pommy git you had the drill in reverse 😂
thanks for this - great vid! and links really useful too. the link to the paint isn't working unfortunately so i assume amazon no longer sell it - are you able to say what make / colours you used? thyre perfect and i fancy having a go myself! cheers
You can get the acrylic paints from hobby craft as the base. But we used alcohol inks and mica paints if you look on more specific TH-cam videos on epoxy tables you will get some more info. Try it it’s a lot of fun
Hi are you thinking of making these for people to buy
No mate it’s free to all. The original designer didn’t charge so neither will I
@@whereonearth1 ok thank you love your channel 👌
Brilliant idea
Can you plug it into the internet at home and then put the camera into/onto the van - or do you have to plug the wifi part into the van? Thanks
The module has to be in the van and the WiFi but you can view what’s going on anywhere you want
Hi there, just wanted to know what happens if you lose Wi-Fi signal does it still record on the USB stick? What are you put into your I think it’s called module what comes with the blink cameras. Hope this makes sense 😵💫. 😊
Hey Cheryl the cameras still record onto a usb as long as they are powered. My module is screwed onto the ceiling above the bed much to the annoyance of my wife as the led is very bright at night🤣
Hi thank you for replying. One thing forgot to ask. For power for the sync module to work do you need to plug into a ecoflow when not in the Motorhome. So then you don’t need the main Motorhome power to be on 24 7. Is that right…!! 😮
Hi again, it runs off. USB so it’s plugged in all the time
Good honest report. Well done my friend. I've looked around my van and there's only one place I can fit the heater and that's under an opening window...so I need to fit a device that will prevent the heater from working if the window is open....
Why use a step-up usb when you have 12v already?
Not sure what you mean the part of my van has a usb so needed it. What would you plug into then?
Does this cable work for echo pop do you know?
@@NOMAD-LEISURE it converts from 5v to 12 so check the back of it
@@NOMAD-LEISURE Yes
do you think they would work as a revesing camera.
as long as you have wifi but easier ti get a dedicated one
Cool, I didn't know about the white covers, thanks !👍 I got a 3 pack of these that on amazon that came with little mounts that im gonna put on the motorhome.
What type of seats are those?
Out of a Toyota land cruiser
I ended up putting paint on the ends and offered up the plate and I used a 16mm bit
Do you know what the hole centres were in the end?
How to be saved th-cam.com/video/aTYy5hXOC68/w-d-xo.html
Great video! Have you used this in Scotland with the midges by any changes? Its hard to tell if these things really keep the midges out which is key for me since most of my trips will be in Scotland. They are typically designed for bigger bugs so I'm paranoid the midges would just fly right through haha
I know midges are incredibly small and I’ve not been to Scotland. I’ll ask the bloke I got it from and get back to you
@@whereonearth1 thanks mate! Appreciate it
This one is midge safe 😂 no problem, I have changed the net on the new design we have in stock, so it will keep the Scottish midges out. Same fitting just a lighter excess fabric tent type material with silver inside and a higher density net. This is the new net th-cam.com/video/GGQJb6Yb8JM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=oOCL48chlmac5VC1
What are the magnets like? Do they work well without leaving gaps? I was thinking maybe the zipped ones are better on the mesh. Cheers
The magnets are ok but you’re right a zip is better
very poorly made door sent directly from China! This is a DROPSHIPPING BUSINESS! I had to pay + 200€ for customs and taxes! So i paid 500€ for a very cheaply made crappy chinadoor!
Don’t know about that mine was £180 it came in two days so must have been from the UK. Sorry I would be pissed too
Hi thanks for the video. It seems a bit fiddly to put in. How long did it actually take you, and once in, would you leave it all the time or just put it in when required? Thanks.
Hi it took about 30min and was quite easy and definitely leave it in situ and just roll it up when not needed
You done the same thing you where going on about on the other videos 🤷🤦♂️
I have the same van and use a 4 ton inflatable air bag jack. Its lighter than the bottle jack and have used it for front and rear for wheel changes and fitting snow chains. Also spreads the van weight over a bigger area so no damage. Cost around £75. I inflate it with my air compressor but can also use the vehicle exhaust. Hope this helps.
How small do they go down for packing away? 0:50
@@whereonearth1 pretty small. We keep it under the bed with a load of other stuff. About the same size as an empty everyday rucksack
Toothpaste works awesome as well!
Thanks for sharing! I am wondering. For alexa to control your items. Do you need to be connected to wifi? I have starlink but i dont plan on having it setup all the time. I am curious if alexa can still control lights/gadgets etc being in a remote area with no cell phone or wifi signal etc?
Yeah you still need a WiFi signal I have an we sim on a home router so when my sim runs out it stops.
Cheers for that there £30 now but £12 post but definitely for piece of mind 😎👍 cheers Chris
we want the bloopers!
Haha you don’t, there are too many expletives
How did you get on with the motorway driving?
I added a small cable tie just in case🤔
@@whereonearth1I was also wondering this. Thinking of putting a couple on my roof rack, but the friction fit of the blink mount is a little worrying & I’d be happier with something mechanical instead. Has your ‘failsafe’ cable tie been needed? How did you attach it to the unit?
@@AsTheTreeBendsI added one above and one below the lens. Been there a while with no problems. I normally do a walk around every month to check bolts etc
Thank you sir, I am now ready to fasten my new cameras to my van.
❤
I am having major issues with finding these side bars/running boards, can you tell me where you got yours???.

Is there a strap or something to lock the magnetic mesh part to stay closed so my dog won't come out?
Hi it has two screens so would have to drop both
@@whereonearth1 well I mean when it's on the big screen mode where it's magnetic is there a strap to hold the magnetic screen to not open like some other more expensive bug screen
@@bryanmadrigal6204when the magnetic one is down only then it just opens, there is not a strap to stop it but you can either have the solid screen down or the magnetic or both together if that’s what you mean
No companies really consider this. Great idea. Patent this
Is it like a bed liner? I just got a new truck. I might spray my bed with it
It’s superb stuff, I did it the easy way but watch some videos (experts)
We are waiting on delivery of ours…. Do you have the blackout blind on outside or inside??? Thanks
I have mine on the inside seems to roll up easier
Hi i want to find interior light fuse for the lights in the back to switch them off..can you help 🤣
Send me a message to my email and I’ll send you the whole fuse array
Hi could you not just use existing door cable and fit it to new roller ?
If it’s not busted then yes mine was all busted at the door end and I think it was only about £30
That’s a great video Tony.. 👍 I have a scrapped chain on my sprinter right now, and wondered we’re it clicked in . My cable snapped so couldn’t work out we’re it was from . This video helps massively.. gaz
Glad it helped Gary
Nice job. When’s part 2’(with this back on the cupboard?). 👍😊
What kind of sealant did you use to seal the heater. On the extension cowl and externally to the van? Does it just very hot?. I was wonder if i could use sikaflex or would i need a high temp sealent. Thanks
what's wrong with using the bottle jack that comes with the sprinter/crafter?
Some bugger must have knicked it when I bought it and to replace it is not cheap…and I am🤣🤣
Are you sure the centre under the rubber pad doesn't screw out to give it more length
Nice resin table in the background 👍👍 You mucked that up 🤣🤣 As I was watching you use the step drill, I thought to myself, watch your crown jewels. Then your wording popped up 😮😂😂 You’re so correct, take it to a garage for any work apart from an emergency 👍
You’d think by now I had these videos sorted but it’s a skill no doubt
@@whereonearth1 hence the reason i don’t do them. Def a skill 👍 Keep up the good work 😊
So the new crafters 2017 onwards have a 5x120 bolt pattern will this wheel carrier fit without any modifications ? Thanks for your informative video.
This was off a Land Rover so 5 stud. I only have three bolts to hold the spare so easy to get them welded if not
Yes it’ll straight fit into a new shape crafter!
Thank you Anthony for this fantastic tip, I've just repaired my Heki skylight which suddenly started leaking after seven years.👍👍👍 Good luck with your house sale and trip.🌍🌎🌏
Cameras are mounted to get ripped away by tree branches. Not a good idea.
Haha too true I thought about that after so have added cable ties. Thanks for that clever cloggs 🤣🤣
Ideal Home show was my worst nightmare at Earls Court
I used to be head of security at Earls Court 20 years ago. Monty's Caravan Every year at the show.
Taught it was the phone number oh it's the price, BRILLIANT
A couple of thoughts after watching your vid, 500,000 quit work or retired between 2020 and 2022. A lot of those lived in an era of rapid house price growth and in the last 10 Years low inflation. So they'll have a few quid and if they don't have it in the bank they can do some equity release on their house. I'm going to the show myself on Sunday not sure if what I was looking for exists yet, I want a swing out tow ball but want a rack with a hard shell cover for two bikes. If I can't find one, you might see me there in a few Years selling them. Lastly if you see me stopped by the side of the road on hot day I'll be the one with a small fan directed over a small bucket of cold water with £300 in my pocket :).
Haha nice one Gary. I suppose there is something for everyone I didn’t see much for the diy’er maybe that’s for an overlander show. Anyway best of luck mate
Enjoyed your video and your positive outlook on things. Well done sir!
Thanks Terry
