The ICU at Nepean Hospital in Sydney's West has a passion for echocardiography as we find it so useful in patient management. With a firm philosophy in FOAMed we aim to provide world class echo education to all levels, in a highly clinically relevant manner. Live case discussion, lectures, dissection sessions and more.
Our own cardiovascular ultrasound lab is a 50/50 collaboration between ICU & cardiology and to our knowledge is unlike anything seen anywhere else.

TOE for ? source of embolus causing ischaemic left lower limb. initial TTE suggested AV looked thickened with ? echogenic masses. TOE found HIGHLY clinically relevant findings and a surgical emergency.
