Different ideas about rhythm.
Train Your Brain with Asalato: Master Polyrhythm 4 vs 5
Asalato is an amazing tool to train your brain!
In this video, I’ll teach you how to reach a new level of hand independence by playing a 4-beat rhythm in one hand and a 5-beat rhythm in the other. But that's not all-you'll also find extra challenges and ideas for your personal development.
If you're new to asalato and want to learn from scratch, check out my step-by-step tutorial:

th-cam.com/video/8IeU79NpcU8/w-d-xo.html Hi, I'm from Brazil, and because of this video in the link, I'm in love with this instrument. You provided a very nice explanation for this instrument. Thats a very nice video, thank you so much!
@@TedBrazil hi! Obrigado ❤️ I lived 2 month in São Paulo in 2014. I miss my friends in Brazil.
As a beginner, what kind of music would you recommend for playing the Asalato and by the way you are very good teacher.🙏🏼🇨🇦
@@searay422011 thank you ☀️ as the first step I would suggest to play without music to get the proper coordination and allow yourself to make as many mistakes as you can :) And then something with the tempo 100 bpm. If you sing, you can try to play asalato and sing one of your favorite song, but again it needs some level of coordination.
@@rhythm_with_alex Thanks Alex for the quick response. I will give it a try I should receive them in the mail tomorrow. You are a gentleman and a very good instructor.
Good luck with your new instrument! Stay patient, and remember: if something feels difficult today, keep practicing, and you’ll master it soon! :)
Great technique I like the light touch you use
Thank you!
Insane 🔥

Just incredible 🎉. And smooth af I'll be sticking with just syncing up my left n right 3s and 5s for the next few weeks at least. 😂. And counting. I gotta get in the habit of counting. 🙄🤣. Anyhow. Thank you for all your helping :)
@@Maxxabstract good luck and some amount of patience to you! 🙌🏻
@rhythm_with_alex well that is certainly a much needed attribute. So thank you. And I pick em up total at least a couple hours a day. So. I must be getting enough from them to compel me. (Ur Def part of that part 🙏🏾) so. That's prolly whatll wind up being what makes or breaks me so to speak haha. 😅 so yes. Patience is Huge. Cuz when I go to get my left hand or a trick move. At first. It feels unachievable. But. Then I keep swinging em anyway. N once I get it down it seems so silly how hopeless it once seemed. Wild :)
@@Maxxabstract everything is just the matter of time and your intentions 💪 Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻

Wow, thank you :)
Is that make yoirself at home? love that sound

4:09 in and i’ve already learned so much I hadn’t realized I should be given more attention to, but Great job at isolating just what matters I’ve been playing for maybe three or four days but I feel pretty comfortable with just keeping 4/4 IG :). Thank you. 🙏🏾

Alex, can we have this whole composition played on a bass guitar? Your friend who played the bass guitar in the original version was sooooo goooddddddd….. Please consider this…. I would love a bass guitar version so as many others….
@@zhugeliangkongming479 I don’t have him playing full piece, just the second part. This video with Mayoori we gave recorded 3 years ago or so, so I could re-edit the first clip by removing all other performers and leaving only two of us. Niwadays everyone are busy :)

There is another course in NewMind, which of them do you recommend
@@parasdesai22 If you'd like to support my work as an author, I recommend purchasing the courses directly from my store on Payhip. I offer two courses: - The first covers the basics of Konnakol and body percussion, helping you develop your own rhythms in both forms. payhip.com/b/0lv3P - The second course, titled 'Konnakol: Advanced Composition in 7,' is dedicated entirely to Konnakol. You'll learn an intricate and complex composition, diving deeper into this art. Although it has a different name on NewMind, it's the same course. payhip.com/b/bAlJ6 If you'd like to match the price of the NewMind course, just reach out to me here or through the Payhip feedback form, and I'll arrange a discount for you. 🙏🏻 Which course do you prefer?
