Genetics of Iron age Russian
The Moschino culture was an early Iron Age archaeological culture centered in the regions of central and western Russia, particularly around the upper Don and Oka River basins, between the late 1st millennium BCE and the early 1st millennium CE. The culture is named after the Moschino archaeological site and represents a blend of influences from local forest-dwelling tribes and steppe nomads. It played a significant role in the ethnogenesis of several later groups, including the Eastern Balts, such as the Galindians.
The Moschino people relied on a combination of agriculture, animal husbandry, fishing, and hunting. They cultivated millet and barley and kept domesticated animals such as cattle and horses.
The Moschino culture contributed to the formation of the Eastern Balts, particularly the Galindians, a Baltic-speaking group that settled between the upper Volga and Oka Rivers, on the territory of modern Kaluga, Moscow, and Tver regions
For this video, I gathered the DNA of a 2nd century individual from the Vladimir oblast in Central Russia. She was buried alongside 8 other people, and likely was not a foreigner in Vladimir oblast. However, her DNA suggests that her origins are very different from the rest of the people buried alongside her in Vladimir Oblast. She seems to descend mostly from bronze age proto-balts, with a minor siberian component. The rest of the Volga-Oka genomes show much higher affinities to Siberians. This person was likely the result of mixing between the Uralic dyakovo culture and the Baltic Moschino culture in Central Russia.
Although her DNA doesn’t suggest she was fully baltic, it is obvious that Baltic, or perhaps Galindian, ancestry was a big part of her ethnic makeup.

Genetics of Proto Elamite Neolithic Iranian
มุมมอง 1.5K4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
The Pre-Pottery Neolithic period in West Iran, spanning approximately 10,000 to 7,000 BCE, marks a transformative era in human prehistory. This period was characterized by the transition from mobile hunter-gatherer lifestyles to settled farming communities. Evidence from sites such as Ganj Dareh and Tepe Asiab demonstrates early experiments with animal domestication, particularly goats, and the...

No wonder old-school super racist anthropologists called Slavs Asiatics with all that siberian ancestry in them. Glad it got bred out because that ancient stock mix did not belong in Europe, 5%ish puts you at the correct geographic region in terms of genetic distance, so the Siberian ancestry was an act of god. Then again, those dumb anthropologists called most Europeans Aryans when we actually just had some aryan-like genetic profile, and don't descend from the real aryans which were sintasha/andronovo culture populations. They also thought the GOAT ancient egyptians got population replaced, but the modern egyptians/north Africans are very very similar to them. They just had a horrific civilizational decline and then Islam rekt their genetic quality with centuries upon centuries of inbreeding.

Andrei DNA, bro, why do so many georgians have light features but zero ehg? For example, İm turkish, and in our country, the northeastern regions (which are chg shifted areas) have the blondest, most blue eyed people, yet they have zero ehg. In my region (western turkiye), people aren’t that light, but we have some ehg and high anf. Why is this happening? Is there something wrong with chg? i don’t understand. i watchedur caucasus hunter gatherer video and saw that chg and znf are highly connected. And they have so dark features. especcially Kotias samples have such dark features. Most people in georgia and other regions score kotias (i checked on vahaduo). Can u explain this why? I hope u re gonna say smth about it. thanks.

@AndreiDNA Really interesting results and you are quite right. As per not popular view most of the ancient Steppe people were dark, Correct me if I am wrong but to me it seems like the lighter phenotype was introduced more by the Uralics (Sami) like people. Like if we see Noristani and Kalash people you can see these phenotypes. For me what is more interesting is that being from the North West of South Asia I get to see at-least 5% Scandinavian within my own results (Depending on calculators) related genetics and we have no known ancestors in our genealogy who is from there. Even further interesting is that on DNA Genics one parent shows about 10% Scandinavin and the rest English out of the approx 20% and not including the almost 10% Caucuses and the other parent however nominal North Western Europe but more Mesopotamia, Cacusus, Anatolian related. It is not at the moment possible to know which parent though...

Neolithic Iran is closely related to CHG and more distantly to Anatolian Farmers, they are West Eurasians. The Ancient Ancestral South Indian AASI of the Indies belonged to a highly divergent human group, grouped with East Eurasians, but very distantly related, they had no relation to West Eurasians like Neolithic Iran. The Neolithic Iran mixed with the AASI, giving rise to Indus Valley Civilization IVC, with 65% Iranian Farmers and 35% AASI, IVC mixed with AASI of South India, giving rise to Ancestral South Indian ASI, in the North they mixed with Steppe people giving rise to Ancient North India ANI. And ANI and ASI are the direct ancestors of present-day Indians.

Hello Andrei, do you think there could be a connection between the Ligurians and other pre-Celtic peoples such as the Astures or Cantabrians (both of whom also have a strong genetic component of male haplogroup E populations). If you look at the traditions of the Ligurians that I am going to explain below, they are the same as those of the Cantabrians: The metal most commonly used by the Ligurians was bronze, while iron was exploited almost exclusively for ornamental purposes. Livy tells us of an untamed, rough and proud race, who spent their lives in the woods, fighting against the elements and beasts. The Ligurians were not conquerors of land or of men, they loved to live in fixed places, cultivating flax, barley, apple trees, hazelnuts and chestnuts. They lived in oppida and castella, they met in councils, in suitable squares and in large fields, they lived in vici (small villages) near fountains and in places, generally along frequented roads. The Ligurian tribes lived isolated from each other, like autonomous clans led by a chief who also presided over religious rites. Private property was not in force, in family units there was a tendency towards matriarchy, even when the children were recognized by their parents. Lovers of their own freedom and lacking any kind of state organization, in case of serious danger the various clans would join together to fight, but after the emergency they would resume their independent life. There is little documentation on the religious beliefs of the ancient Ligurians, represented mainly by inscriptions from the Roman period, coming from the Alpine and Apennine regions. They worshiped the mountain tops, plants and, above all, springs. The bond with the land itself, which pushed entire tribes to commit suicide rather than face deportation by the Romans, appears clearly connected with the worship of the elements that form part of that mother earth. The classical texts provide sufficient elements to characterize the ancient Ligurians physically and characteristically. Diodorus Siculus describes a race of tenacious and rough individuals, of small stature, thin, nervous. Livy tells us that an entire tribe “sub radice Alpium” chose the path of collective suicide in order not to leave the land of their ancestors. We know the names of some of the tribes (pagu) in which the Ligurians were grouped. They were the Apuani, Tigulli, Friniati, Veleiates, Genuates, Veituri, Statielli, Dectunini, Sabazi, Ingauni, Epanteri, Vegenni or Bagienni, Intemelii, Levi, Marici, Segobrigi, Deciati, Oxibii, Elisyci Maugelli, Caseuntes and Ilviates. It is assumed that in ancient times there were also other populations (for example, Tautini, Salluvii or Euganei) that were Ligurians, but there is no certainty in this regard.
