Icy December Harlan KY, Insane Mountain Side Recovery! Rally Run! Lions Den Backwards!
In this video we show the good and the bad when it comes to traveling by your self. @TaltonOffroadTravel said he really needed to get away for the weekend and do some wheeling, so I left the freezing cold temps of North Eastern Ohio behind to enjoy a weekend with some southern offroaders! We met up in Harlan KY where it was supposed to be in the 50's! Phillip saved my weekend by bringing his buggy out to my disaster zone the night before and we managed to get everything off the mountain without any real damages. I can't thank him enough for for that. We had a great weekend of hangin out and wheelin in the mountains.

Wellsville Turkey Shoot 2024 - Creekbed Welding!
มุมมอง 59621 วันที่ผ่านมา
On this cold rainy weekend, we decided to take the jeep to make the turkey shoot event more enjoyable this year. Wellsville can be downright dangerous when it's wet, so you've got to be careful! We hang out & help with tracking down some lost parts for trail repairs. It's sad to see the season coming to a close but looking forward to a little more trail time!

Build Dirtbike Carrier for Jeep, Ride in Allegheny National Forest, Awesome BBQ Spot!
มุมมอง 3812 หลายเดือนก่อน
The crew said that this was the last weekend to ride the dirtbike loop for 2024 before they shut down the trail for hunting and other erosion control reasons. I built a last minute bike carrier the night before and loaded up to meet the group in the morning. We had a great ride, with absolutely no dust to be found anywhere! This is one of those rides that left us all wanting more! Can't wait fo...
Hatfield & McCoy Trails Bearwallow, New Chief Logan Connector, Full Size Buggies, Super Dry Weekend
มุมมอง 6983 หลายเดือนก่อน
Jason and I have returned to the Bearwallow Trail System with our full size buggies to tackle the hard trails. Due the 2 month drought, it's extremely dry and dusty. Possibly unrelated but there are Bees everywhere! If you keep moving or stay near the fire, they don't seem to bother you, but defiantly still a bit nerve racking. I've never seen this place so dry before, it made everything really...
Wellsville sends us home early! Labor Day Weekend 2024
มุมมอง 3703 หลายเดือนก่อน
We always have a blast seeing old friends and meeting new people at Wellsville. Unfortunately this time we had limited footage and my buggy took a beating. I've got a number of things to address but the biggest thing is the front gears appear to be damaged. We still had a fun time and look forward to getting things patched up and back on the trail!
Hatfield McCoy Tornado Single Trax Opening Weekend, Review, Double Black Trail Footage.
มุมมอง 9K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
We were excited to hear about the opening of the long awaited Hatfield McCoy Tornado Single Trax trail system opening that was announced August 20th 2024. It only took a few days to rally our group and start making our way 4 hours south to ride the new trail system. The hype and excitement around this dirtbike only trail system was all we needed to motivate us for the spur of the moment ride in...
Rollovers and Carnage at Hollerwood Offroad Park in Kentucky
มุมมอง 17K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Jason and I spent the weekend wheeling Hollerwood Offroad with Phillip from @TaltonOffroadTravel and our awesome local guide Luc. The weekend was full of excitement from the non-stop changing weather conditions, to the roll-overs, and carnage. Making memories with good friends makes all the effort worth it.
UN-Shave a 14 Bolt Axle?

I've been dealing with broken gears repeatedly for the last few years in this rig. They just are not holding up to my additional power and gearing. 550hp Blueprint LS3 with a Rossler Built transmission & 4.3:1 atlas. I remember your jeep at wellsville
Wow!! You were in quite a pickle there with the truck and trailer.
Yea, never know what life is gonna throw at you. Lucky to get out of there without any real damages!
love the rigs
thank you, keep your eyes pealed, we are going to do a build series on a kids buggy chassis on here soon!
Never seen most of those trails, looks like fun! I gotta get to Wellsville!
Wellsville is defiantly the best wheeling in Ohio, we love it here.
@ have you been to vinton county? Its definitely not buggy territory, but youd have fun in the jeep!
i have not
@ well if it ever peaks your interest come down and ill show u around. I dont have much content on it but Ohio Offroad came down and road with us did a video on it.
Been riding there my whole life. Bikes, Jeeps, buggys now in a sxs. Live less than 5 mins. Funny to see Yellow Crick become a kind of tourist attraction. We all trespassing lol. 😂
Yea same, I've been riding there for about 25 years now, we are only about 45min up the road now. Best riding in ohio, even tho the place only seems to be getting smaller, year after year.
Nice video. What part of Ohio you all from.AREincy area here. Ride at HMC all the time. Always stay at Devil's Backbone for southern HMC Trails. Ashland resort for other HMC Trails.
Thank you, we are in north eastern Ohio. We have been riding Hatfield for over 15 years now and still loving it even though a lot has changed.
I did make it back out of the woods but we broke the other side top link and cams Cummins Jeep exploded both stub shafts so we had to fix both front axles on his rig in the woods before we made it back to camp. Nothing like being broke in the woods for 6 hours but still had a great time!!
Sounds like you guys had all the funz! Glad to hear everyone made it out alive! Super sloppy weekend for turkey shoot as always.
@ wldnt be turkey shoot without the rain!!
unfortunately
Loud
What radio system do you use?
@@ktmjunky We have benn using the Sena bluetooth communicators for over 10 years. Many of our original units still work, even running them in harsh weather and soaking wet conditions. I currently have a 30k and a 50s. I’d recommend getting the 50s as it’s more current and battery life is great. The Sena products are definitely better performing than some of the cheapo units out there.
@ thanks for responding! Keep the videos coming! ✊🏼
Not making much steam either
Two wheel drive? Yah.....two huge frickin tractor tire drive that is..
2 wheel is 2 wheel! ;)
25:39 😂
Next time your in man hit up keiths bar and grill
@@dylankeene9192 We usually do, but wanted to try something else. The last few times we were at Keith’s, the service was extremely slow and its always really dark in there.
@HavocAdventure it is like a dungeon lol
Go to the Trailhead Inn in Matewan way better than Keith's
@steverapp9169 We'll have to check that out next time. Only problem is, it's to close to Devils Backbone camp, need way more miles till the food stop!
That looks fun wide open
absolutely, i always enjoy watching these guys
Hell that wasnt even full send that little buggy was just cruisin
It literally ate that mountain
They make some of the climbs look easier than the bouncers do.
So planted on the ground!
@@HavocAdventurefor sure planted
Get it son 💯💯💯
Bagged on
A friend of mine just built one of these. Dune buggy style w truck tires
I really enjoy seeing different stuff out there in the woods!
Yessir buddy
Wicked
Real question. Why would a person build a buggy in the environment thats 2wd?
thats a good question. For me i still enjoy rock crawling and a wide range of different wheeling so 4x4 is what I need. However all the old school vw buggies were always 2wd and if you talk to those guys, they are die hards! It’s impressive seeing them spin 180 degrees on a hill and heading back down, or some of the other maneuvers that they can pull off!
good looking buggy
agreed, pretty sharp!
Seatbelts wernt that tight
Thats a fancy rail buggy
Built 4 or 5 years ago has a ecotech cadi motor in it runs strong
Ii had a 1970 Toyota Hilux that was the same way lol
Is this on private property?
yes
Which hill is this ? Ride there all the time !
I don't believe it has been named at this point. It was fresh the weekend that these guys began to climb it.
Badass! Anyone know what's powering that beast?
v8 of some sort, but unsure of brand and displacement
That is excellent. Pure redneck power and commitment is all it takes
Nice
My driveway is worst than this!! 😂
must be a rough neighborhood!
Rowdy🤘
Prey sure an old Ferd 6an could crawl and do the same getting to the top. . just wouldn't sound as good 😅😂😅
Or feel as good when it flipped over on top of ya
If you'll notice he was just testing it out I want to see what it was feeling like in that that spot of the Hill Hill
Nice
Question, is this located in Ohio.
Yep
Keep em coming! Thanks for posting
You bet John, thank you for the feedback I really appreciate it.
Those are best trails in the in system nice slow crawls . Awesome job thanks
Thanks 👍
What model KTM specifically? And what communication system are yall using??
I'm on a 21 KTM 300 xc-w, and using the Sena 50s for communication
@@HavocAdventure nice! I’ve been looking at the 2025 250xcw….. thinking I’m going to snag one this winter. Any issues with the new-ish TPI fuel system?
@@88ridered excellent bikes, i don’t think you could go wrong with any xc-w and this type of riding. I would suggest you explore the 300 vs 250 information that is available out there. I can’t tell you how many times i’ve made an amateur mistake and the 300 still had the grunt to save my wrong gear choice or lack of momentum on misjudged obstacles.
Really need to be doing 30MPH in the campground ?
Tough riding. More commentary and on screen of what trail Junction and direction
I keep trying my best at that, it's insanely hard to try and remember after the fact when editing. I try to snag clips of the trail markers to help me point it out but sometimes you just get caught up enjoying your self and miss them.
dang 7:19 that rock was in that wheel eating it up and still crawled it gangster
Heck yea, that was a fun moment! That buggy just flat out works!
The last comment got deleted. Ride the holler in clay city. It was KXCR. Look up hard enduro Appalachia on YT
i'll check that out, thank you
Believe it or not the faster you can ride thru that stuff the easier it is. Trust the bike and try to maintain momentum. Happy trails my friend.
Fix your camera POV. Get more trail and less helmet and bike
Might try a few different mount options, it kept getting whacked with branches and then pointing in horrible directions, I actually threw away a ton of footage because it was looking at the sky or down at my seat. You don't really know until you sit down to edit when the ride is over. I'll try and do better with that though.
@@HavocAdventureI really like the Dango chin mount I use. It stays on the helmet pretty well and is only $50 on Amazon.
@@AppalachianOutdoorChannel thank you for the recommendation, i’ll check it out
Hey I did end up buying one of these and wanted to pop back over here and thank you again. I've been riding with it the last couple months and love it. It's been a great! Thanks again.
ChapStick in wellsville?
yep, but like after you forget it in your pocket and it goes through the washer and comes out all slimy! haha
Great video!! Looks like a great place to ride!
Thank you, yea it was really nice and I'm sure it will only get better as Hatfield sees how many dirtbikers love the idea of a single track trail system.
Nice Vid, We saw u guys up in the trails. I think yall were going around a cliff but yall had to turn around because it wasnt a trail. We were a group of 15 bikes. Bummed out because all if the trails were really easy so we ended up leaving early to a different mountain.
@@DylanJimenez25 Yep, i remember seeing you guys.
