I don't think I'm conformist. I've never wished being one. I'll never wish being one either. I think regarding my being happy, unhappy, positive, reading, a democrat, offline writer, overeditor, apologetic, godly prayer lover, dorky, or perfectionist, any other people in this world should deal with it, or be away from me altogether forever. Because I'm never going to change to their preference. No way. Uh-uh. The only opinion I'll ever care about is God in Heaven's one of me. That's all. I'll also always mean these words with all of my heart, mind, soul. I'll never ever retract them. I'll always love my whole self. I'll never stop doing so. I hope all others in this world will also always feel this great way about themselves. Seriously, oh yeah.

You still want to think about your own opinion instead of having a knee jerk reaction of conformity to everything. You may think about something and realize that your conclusion lines up with what society is saying anyway, how about that. At other times you may think otherwise but still choose to conform, as the risks of not conforming outweigh the benefits of going along. Still your choice. Just be aware of what you choose to conform to and what things are best to not conform to, as in making good decisions. Now for something funny I heard, "He is such a goth, that he won't even conform with us other goths."

Without some level of conformity, civilization would fall apart..that is the definition of anarchy.

You know what, I'll go a step beyond: why SHOULDN'T I be a conformist? Why can't I live my life without questioning anything? What if I have no desire to be "different"? Another thing is, you can NOT be a non conformist. You may reject your entire culture but before you'll know it you'll find yourself among millions who did the same and act, talk and think like them...it will be even worse as you all will become an interconnected hivemind filled with ego and arrogance that comes from the idea that you are "different" where as you are nothing but, and excuse the language, the turd of society...like goths, hippies, feminists or whatever anticulture will spring next. This is not an attack on you, mind you, I'm just giving you my perspective on the matter, and I'd like to discuss it. I live in a community that pressurises men to have the very same personality (love football, hang around with a group of friends, mingling with girls etc...) but I'm an introverted person who prefers to keep it until marriage (no I'm not gay, just not ready) so I've had the worst treatment from society and believe me, being a "nonconformist" is not as fun as it is, you will always be alone, called names, had your mental state doubted etc...so why would you want to leave social normality willingly and suffer all this just to be "the odd one out"?

smarrrrt to get ready for the gym before the class. What I used to do when I was on campus was just go to the gym first thing before class and go into class still in my gym clothes and shower after my first class LOL ughhh I HATEEEE the snow.
