This is super cool! But did I miss part 2?
really cool to see you use infiltrator, this approach speaks to me much more than the way music producers tend to use it
Thank you so much
Sheesh! Under rated video.
Thanks for sharing!!! Do you have any video showing how you record some of your SFX sound creations? This world of SFX is a bit mysterious and above all very exciting!
Thanks for the video tutorial! Could you make more examples with free synthesizers, like Vital, in the future?
For asmr outdoor cooking videos over the fire what mic would you recommned? Im thinking ansenheizer mke600 for the boom mic. But what abkut recording forest ambience? Woild you need a recorder, and then add the track in post?
>:( FATAL ERROR
Very good video, exactly what I was looking for
Btw, I was wondering how you went about, and maybe still are going about this whole audio career thing. I'm 25 now living with my girlfriend, and working a part time job that is only just providing enough income to get by. Finished a bachelor in sound design this year, and see many of my classmates already in jobs or are just really out there you know. But I find that I'm not that much in a hurry to "get there", and am slowly discovering that there are actually other things in life that are important to me. Anyhow, this wasn't meant to be about me haha. Would be interesting to hear in a video maybe how you got into sound design and how, with a family to provide for, how you made that work.
My desk has a window right to the left, on the wall behind it. The light coming form the window directly into my eyes made my eyes get so tired when trying to see stuff on the screens, so I put up an extra curtain on a rail, going perpendicular to the back wall, right before the window. Now I can just pull that curtain out from the wall. Makes for a cozy little sound design cave as well heh

Congrats on the 10K David! Truly deserved for how much you give to the community.
Awesome video David!!
this is cool, you should take a look at the game Tunic, some of the best sounds i ever heard in a game. Kevin power up audio did that game
Awesome video David. I would love to see your redesign process of Hohokum(video game) SFX. The more SFX you cover the better. I just love how warm and organic they feel compared to the majority of today's SFX. Cheers!
Thank you, very good tutorial as always! And you look good Man!
Do you have any videos where you go through your sampling process with phase plant and portal? Am curious to see what you do for that when printing things out for sampling
Bro is great enough to replace mkx sounds
Recently stumbled upon your channel Legendary discovery!! ❤ Also really cool sound design take🔥🔥
Thank you, David, for the video. I really liked this format where you explain everything and show examples. I'll be looking forward to more content like this. I appreciate it!
Looking forward to pt2!
Every time you enable frequency or ring modulation (RM), you describe it the wrong way around. FM <- OSC 1 means that this oscillator gets frequency modulated *by* oscillator 1, it doesn't affect oscillator 1's sound at all.
Okay but what is it?
It's a neck and back massager
This shows how an actual sound design session could be, sometimes you test and test not getting anywhere and it is normal. Anyway your sound turned out cool : )
thank you david
thanks david !
This is really helpful please continue to make more of this series
Tha was super useful and great. Please keep it up. Your channel has helped me a lot
Love this format of video, and Anime SFX is such an interresting subject! Would love to see a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Redesign, and some more shimmers, done only with Phase Plant?
Good job identifying the octave, but those notes are two octaves apart, not one.
ok this was helpful! THANKS
16:11 How did you add that automation so fast? Great video!
23:00 How did you record that as an audio and not as a MIDI?
@@singed7576 At 16:11, I use the shortcut to the following action: FX: Show/hide track/take envelope for last touched FX parameter. At 23:00, I use the shortcut to the following action: Track: Set track record mode to input
@@daviddumaisaudio Thanks!😁
YES DAVID!! This is brilliant. Really looking forward to the other parts in the series. Hopefully you get chance to cover the attack moves...they're so cool and stylised. Phase Plant is an absolute powerhouse for this sort of stuff.
you didn't change the delay time in ms :P Instead you reduced the spread, feedback and lowered the wet value.
How to find exact answer.
can you make a video where you show how to make UI sounds?
Great vid! Thank you so much!

A metal water thermostat?
Maybe roller skates
My guess would be something like an electric carving knife, but I really don’t know.
