Brother Charles , do you have any idea of how up to date these maps and electronics are given the oyster reef attrition due to oyster harvesting and natural events as hurricanes, fresh water runoffs , droughts and such destroying these reefs? Keep up the good work .

We use to make that walk with a few friends back in the 80s. We would take turns carrying the cooler. Always had a good time too. They're was a lot of powder going around back then and it was the thing to do so...

I have made this walk over 100 times in my life and a buddy and myself swam across one night to fish that back corner. As we were fishing, one of the guards walked across the catwalk and asked how we got across. We told him that we swam and pointed to the foam pool float we used for tackle and poles. He then straight up called us idiots and said don't yall know there are gators in here. We told him we have fished this spot at least 100 times in the night and during day and have never seen a gator in here but now that you told us do you mind if we walk back across. He started laughing and walked off and as he walked off he said "good luck guys". scariest 60 yard swim I have ever made and no joke the next time we went to just fish our normal wade fish there, we saw a giant gator in the middle, sent shivers down both out spines at the same time. that dude was a jerk and I hope karma got him that night in some way.
