I have always loved the harp. In 2006 I took some lessons but had a horse incident & broke my pinkie finger followed by 3 surgeries. My dream of learning to play the harp never went away, so finally in Feb 2022 in my 50’s I made my dream a reality. It’s been a slow go, last year I started over because I needed to learn to read music better as not being able to was holding back my progress. I finally feel I am started to make some positive strides. I now have a 40 string Lyon & Healy Prelude and a 38 string Heartland Delight. I recently installed Dusty Strings pick-ups in both, so I can experiment using pedals and amplification. It’s always fun, interesting, thoroughly enjoyable & therapeutic. Remember how ever old you are, and even with little to no music experience you can learn to play the harp if you want to!
