What is Amniotic Band Syndrome?
มุมมอง 76K4 ปีที่แล้ว
During pregnancy, the amniotic sac surrounds a fetus and provides protection. This fluid-filled membrane provides a cushion so a fetus can continue developing safely. In rare cases, strands of the sac separate from the lining and begin to create a threat. Amniotic band syndrome (ABS) occurs when the baby gets entangled in these bands. As the baby grows and develops, the bands tighten and restri...

In 1985 when I was pregnant, I begged my doctor to do an ultrasound because I felt something was not right. My doctor said you’re a completely healthy young lady we do not need to do an ultrasound unless we feel we have to. My daughter was born with a very rare amniotic band and clubbed foot that is in medical history books. I wish my doctor would’ve listen to me. 😢

@@saptefratimarya I am not a doctor to give you any analysis but from our experience as parents for ABC case I think your baby crossed the dangerous period but you should keep monitoring your baby by using 3d scanner to avoid any attack from this bands to his body parts because if you investigate it early the doctors can cut this bands to save the attacked body part Finally I don't want you to be worried but also keep regular check better My best wishes for you
