My life is one sentence in a burning library.
Psychosis (Pathological Individuation)
Some thoughts on region, psychosis, group identity, and subjectivity or individuality.
This is the progression of individuality and psychosis.
Fear the influence of:
those outside your group
those in your group
Yourself
Members of any group
Any sense of identity or social belonging
Everyone else
If someone shares my belief it is less likely to be true. Its purity has been tainted. Hide and burrow into a worldview I can control that others don’t understand.
Also a fear of the way belonging to a certain group sets you up for the snap judgements and misunderstandings others have of that group
In order to please everyone and protect myself from the different judgements of everyone, I had to become no one. To be loved by all I had to become alienated from all.

I was thirsty

I was thirsty 90° heading to the store I rounded the corner Eyeing some paper A faded receipt baked into the pavement I paused to make sure no one was looking Not even me Bowing with reverence, I quickly scooped up the trash like holy rapture Tossing it down the dark mouth of the nearest can. A crow hobbled over in disbelief Beak fixed open, panting, helplessly heaving heat Wishing he could pec...

Some thoughts on the morality and psychology of obsessively amassing wealth and power. I wish no harm upon these people, but the way they live is tremendously upsetting and they ought to change. We ought to stop granting them power wherever we can.

Yes, definitely! Many former Christians & Muslims find that the stumbling blocks in their religion became stepping stones. It's a good background to have.

@@thomasrutledge5941 1. Very interesting. I remember in RD Laing’s “The Divided Self” learning that double binds especially in early development could be the cause or contributing factor to schizophrenia. I remember my dad making me feel very guilty for loving my step-dad. For me, if you group them both under the category of father, it’s as if “father says the best way to love your father is to not love your father, even though father treats you better and is safer than father.” I was guilted out of developing a naturally stronger attachment to the healthier father figure, to prove that I loved my father and didn’t deserve his wrath.
2. The element of always referring to others’ opinions on whether a feeling/behavior/thought is acceptable is interesting. It’s tough sifting through whose or which opinions or feelings about you matter on a personal or moral sense.
3. Not sure if you saw my recent video “I was thirsty” but it’s a poem/story related to righteousness coming from a need for validation.
brotha. i wanted to hearsomething funny about a bird. not a peom
@@PotatoWarehouse I found a bird in my father’s garage. I chased it around trying to catch it but it kept relentlessly defecating into my eyes. They drove me to the hospital because it turns out I’m allergic to bird shit. The doctor said I have only three months to live.

I generally agree with the idea that the leaders of the nation are not acting with the voters' best interests in mind- that they are in it for themselves at the end of the day. I however disagree with the idea that our vote doesn't matter. It does, it matters significantly more at the local and even state level. People tend to forget that voting happens more than just voting for president: the president isn't going to fix all our problems (though they can certainly cause a lot of issues). For example: people like to vote for a guy who says they will invest in infrastructure; about how they talk about how our infrastructure is old and falling apart. This is a true statement. People will vote for this person thinking that means the really shitty main road down the block that has caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to their car over the years from all the potholes and whatnot will finally get fixed... when in reality the president isn't fixing that road for them. That is a matter for the local government. When the president speaks of infrastructure, it is a broad brush that generally encompasses things like military bases (domestic and foreign), federally managed roadways, causeways and highways, bridges, dams, etc. Given how the electoral system functions: your vote influences it on the local level. Electoral votes swing state to state due to changes on the local level. This is why someone like Trump can lose the popular vote yet still win like he did in 2016. This is by design. The Founders didn't want uneducated farmhands who didn't know how to read voting on matters that directly affect the way the nation is run, financed and governed. Is this good or bad? Up to whoever is being asked, I suppose. Didn't mean to soapbox or ramble. Just thought I'd share my two cents, for whatever its worth I guess. I just personally feel that many people don't fully understand how the American political system is designed and how it runs, and in all honesty it isn't entirely the voters' fault.
We are all in for ourselves at the end of the day. I agree with ur comments. We could try to fix our education system, but that requires voting.
One side wants a full-on christo-fascist violent hateful country. The other side is Biden. The choice, as bad as they are, could not be more clear #votebiden
Biden's administation is funding two major wars that are driven by Fascism
There is definitely a difference between a wannabe autocratic dictator and an old man that while supporting the business class has done more progressive politics than any president in the last 50 years. Only a person that will be fine with either choice will say there is no choice
