I'm also going on the Pearl 12/24
Great video, great detail on the Pearl. I'm sailing on this ship in November and really appreciate the walk through. Keep it up
@@scottmccormick9055 Thank you! Glad the tour was helpful!
Hey fellow Ohioan! Just ran into your video!! We love hocking hills (my favorite! -Joni)
Hey there! Yes, it was so beautiful. It was our first time. Been so many places but sometimes forget about what’s in our own backyard. -Sara
Thanks for sharing this. I’ll be driving from Orlando to Columbus taking the I-75. Hope it will be a pleasant ride
All the nature stuff by the pier is pretty cool too!
This was a terrible cruise. Mediocre food, slow service and you need reservations for most everything. Slow elevators, Wall to Wall people. Bet Carnival these my comment down.
This vlog was kind of boring and the narrator was a snooze.
I agree
Did you have any of those 5% grade roads on this route?
No 5% grades on I-75. It’s a pretty flat route that’s why we like going that way.
Thank you guys for this video...very informative!
We live Lighthouse Point cabins & cottages.
You guys definitely look like classic cruisers. 🥂
I am going on this boat in December
I was on the original boat to and this will be my 16th cruise in December
This is a great content! Thanks!
Did they still require a proof of vaccination or negative Covid test?
When we went in December, we were not required to provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID test at any point (not to get onto the ship and not at any ports)
I noticed after you were done setting Jeep into neutral that you didn't release the Parking Brake. Won't that burn it out
Yes it would but we don’t turn it on.
Yes it would but we don’t turn it on.
I love why she looks like she is being tortured to make this video staring at the camera
What do you wish you did more of …im going on April 29th trying to maximize my experience
We tried to do as much as we could so there isn’t much we didn’t do but if we cruise Mardi Gras again we would eat at the specialty restaurants more than we did.
@@tomsarastravels9150 awesome I body build and tbh looking forward to just mowing down guys burgers ahah , Las time i went on carnival I found the food to be blah ,nothing better than a North end pizza in Boston! But awesome can't believe it's almost time ..what was favorite place to hang or be
@@b4e279 Our favorite spot in the evening was the Fortune Teller Bar (great drinks and music) and on sea days, we spent most of our time sitting at a table at Red Frog Pub overlooking the pool area. All of the best shows (if you are into those) are on the lobby/atrium stage (get there very early) The serenity area was very nice but we didn’t sit there much.
@@tomsarastravels9150 awesome thanks yea il Def check out the shows I'm 30 and with My 25 yr old cousin so we will see I'm hoping to end up at the piano bar , when I was 21 I only sat one night there and have regret it for 9 years ahaha
The intro music is god awful.
Awesome video but dude if that's your wife, walk with her. LOL Don't be way out ahead, my wife likes to walk behind me and i ask her if we're together or what. Anyway we live 15 minutes from Knoebels and love the Halloween part of their festivities
Thank you for the tour of the campground! We have a 45ft 5th wheel and always like to check sites out to make sure they can accommodate us! Looks perfect!
That’s awesome timing to get to see the space x launch 🚀
Hello from Columbus Ohio. We just got back from a carnival magic cruise from Orlando... and loved it. Want to do it again soon
We would go on Magic again for sure just not a short cruise out of New York.
@@tomsarastravels9150 I just went on an 8 day out of Port Canaveral and now I don't want really want to do anything less then 7 or 8.... LOL. 5 days just don't seem like enough now 😂
@@teedub68 We totally agree! The only two times we have ever done less than 7 days were our two cruises to Bermuda which are shorter otherwise it has always been 7 days or longer.
@@tomsarastravels9150 I would really like to learn all your little cruise hacks and tips on cruising. I bet y'all have picked up so many tips and tricks to making cruising easier and more enjoyable through the years.
Seems awfully expensive
Yeah…we agree it was pretty expensive for what the sites were. We probably won’t go back.
Great video! Thank you very much for sharing! Like 15
Thank you!
Best I seen yet good job 🎉
Thank you!
Love your coach. We are looking for one similar to yours. Great info!
Thanks, we splurged for one of the deluxe sites for July of 2023
Just found your channel! You all from Ohio?
Yes we are!
@@tomsarastravels9150 awesome! Same here! We just subscribed to follow along! Hopefully we can run into you all at the campgrounds
@@ThoseWhoGlampTogether Hopefully. We have been trying to meet other Ohio campers. We work full time so we take a few long trips a year and then long camping weekends.
@@tomsarastravels9150 same here! We both work so it’s a lot of weekend trips. This year is staying in Ohio a little more. Doing state parks. Mohican Wilderness does a meetup and that is a great place to meet other likeminded people. We will be going. If correct it’s June 9-12th
@@ThoseWhoGlampTogether We stayed in Ohio more last year. We are heading out west again this year.
i liked this video
That was interesting
Can you camp at lake glory without an RV? Like a car, and a tent?
You can camp in a tent for sure. Not sure about just staying in a car. They also have cabins you can rent.
Another awesome video! Looks like some awesome camping spots y'all had! I've always wanted to camp in the keys. I just got done building my truck camper that me and my pup travel out of in Northern Florida. You'll have to check it out on my channel! Keep up with the awesome content!
Lake Glory is a beautiful campground to stay at. We always stay there for family reunions there and have our main family reunion at Knoebels and it is such a blast for the kids and adults
Looked like a nice trip!
Is that grinding sound normal when you shift the gear back to park? Asking cause my Jeep made that same sound and I panicked.
It only made that sound for us one time and hasn’t made it again.
Yes because it's setting the parking pawl in place! I don't like the owners manual how it says to put it in park after testing to see if transfer case is in neutral by placing it in reverse. I test the reverse procedure to insure the transfer case is in neutral then place transmission to neutral then I shut the engine off then to park!
So do you just not do the test with engine running? Mine makes the grinding noise every time (.or all times I’ve tried it)!
@@hifax1428 We get that grinding noise also. I can't wait to try your method; I do not want the PTU to go out.
Ok just to clarify how I do the neutral test for flat towing! I use the owners manual procedure to place the transfer case in neutral. Then I test it with the engine running by placing it in reverse for the 5 seconds then to neutral then I place it in drive to make sure the transfer case is in neutral then back to neutral then to reverse for the 5 seconds then back to neutral once in neutral I shut the engine off then to park so I don't get the parking pawl grinding. I've done it both ways by the manual and my way sometimes it grinds by using the manual procedure and sometimes not so I prefer to use my way and I've had no problem. I know this seems like over kill but I want to make sure that the transfer case is in neutral and that grinding when putting it in park is putting metal shaving in your transmission. Not good!
Where at in NW Ohio? I’m in Oregon, Ohio and making this trip again in June.. fun watching road trip videos
Sandusky, Ohio
I’m making the drive from Traverse City, MI to Haines City, Florida on the 23rd of this month
Thanks for posting this video. I’m going to this theme park this summer for the very first time. I was going to stay on their campground but after watching your video I’m going to stay on this camp ground that you just made me aware of instead. You said there are full hooks here. At Konobles camp ground they only have electric. So thanks you for this most helpful information.
Wonderful tour of beautiful Glacier National Park! What a treat to see such a variety wildlife! Glacier is a place we frequently talk about revisiting. After watching, we really want to go back. Thanks for sharing your experience at Glacier with us! 👍
No supplemental braking?
From I-10 on down I-75 is a pretty pleasant ride
We have same Jeep toad. I can’t believe all the step to disengage this transmission . Other than that happy good luck!
👍 Sounds like you two have been to that awesome park numerous times . Have both of you ridden the worlds only wooden bobsled coaster , Flying Turns ?
We have unfortunately never been on Flying Turns
Good video. We are in the process of buying a similar Cherokee Trailhawk to use as a TOAD. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to install the base plate myself, but kudos to you for that one. I have a couple question I think you can answer. How do you handle the steering of the Jeep? On our past toad we had to leave the car "on" but not running so that the steering wheel didn't lock. How does that work with the Jeep? And second, have you experienced the legendary "death wobble"?
The Jeep steering wheel doesn’t lock so you don’t have to leave the ignition “on”. We have not experienced any wobble. I think Jeep fixed this issue on newer models.
@@tomsarastravels9150 That's all very good to hear. Thanks for the feedback!
We are towing a 2019 Cherokee and love it. They have cured the death wobble issue. Printed a cheat sheet for my wife to follow during hook/ unhook. Using a Roadmaster base and tow bar and braking system. Lights and TPMS too. Keep on traveling.
can you flat-tow backwards like this -- th-cam.com/video/9u0bdpBnd6E/w-d-xo.html
Neat place !
was there a cost to the ferry
Yes. It cost $150 round trip.
It looked like you almost had the campground to yourself. The drive to Gatlinburg was very pretty. We love the smokies. Lynn and Danny
The campground actually had more people than it looked like but more arrived the day after Christmas after the snow.
I’m moving down to Tampa for work next week! Not looking forward to the drive! Lol
How'd your move go? I bet you're enjoying Florida
