WMHM - One Kid's View
At West Michigan Honda Meet, we had our intrepid kid head into the paddock to learn about some of the drivers, their cars, and maybe do a little off roading.

Well done! I hope this becomes a regular feature.
Awesome video and good times at the track. Hope to see more from you in the future!
haha
I can only confirm, I am Italian, what is behind us is only the past and those who are losing
This is awesome 👏
Oh man that fit's suspension looks so unsettled after hitting bumps...Do you know what shocks he's using or if he's on stock setup?
Yeah we talked with him about it - he does have coilovers but I'm unsure the brand.
Hey, i'm gonna fit some hood vents on a Renault 4 because of overheating issues. Do I understand correctly that they should be installed in low pressure areas and that those area's are the same as the areas with the most detached flow? Greetings from the Netherlands!
Totally missed this: sorry! Low pressure won't be the same as detached flow all the time. These particular vents create the detached flow/drag. Best to put the vents where the difference in pressure, from the top to the bottom of the hood, is the greatest.
I spin on race tracks all the time this is no big deal. It’s safe because of the low speed and you don’t have a wall you could hit or a dip that could flip your car. If you’ve never spun your car then you never driven you car to the edge and over. Learning experience
Nice to know the new Forza still has split screen :)
Looks like hilarious fun.
Is the Sundae Cup car faster than a BSpec car?
Hard to say - some of the b-specs are power restricted, and use slicks, but they are also restricted to spring rates, etc. Full b-spec prepped cars are welcome to compete with Sundae Cup with only a tire change required.
Becky has those smooth hands, I’m a little jealous. Nice driving on both parts!
Zoom zoom!
Its amazing how different but similar it is! Definitely can see eachothers individual styles.
Send it. Towards the barrier.
The only way to find the limits, is to exceed them.
Drivers that got passed: - driver: “you saw that coming?” - passenger: “from a mile away”
FWD 4 cylinder grocery carts on a track never fail to amuse
So what. He spun out. Just shows he was pushing the limits as he should.
Not bad for 16''
Cant believe that instructor accpeted that passenger seat. I would never accept less safety than the driver.
Looks like the instructor has a harness but no Hans also. Driver did a nice job of just driving off track and not making the slide worse. Not sure why the instructor didn’t point the drive off.
Not instructor - buddy ride along.
this is exactly how you autocross lol.
Needs a bit of suspension upgrades…
Hell yea! Go Becky and mooncake 🎉
:09 *jazz hands*
lol
do you have a build thread anywhere or a parts list? I'm really curious. spectacular driving.
Thanks! I keep notes but that's about it - email me at RobertsonRacing213@gmail.com for any questions!
It always works until it doesn't
I've done much worse
Hey man you were sending it! Bet you had a bunch of fun
I see nothing wrong about it
way on progressive
Mazdas headhunting Hondas, what a beautiful sight to see!
looks like a lot of fun! :D
Simple, by not buying one. You drive it like I drive my mustang. lol
Take me back (but with more powa) <3
Happy to recognize NCM! Looked like a pretty good run until the spin, and I’m sure you found the limit!
I'm doing my first autocross tomorrow in a Solstice GXP - I think I just saw my own future!
hope it goes well!
@@RobertsonRacing it was an absolute blast - I ended up 6th out of 22 in Novice Street - in a stock vehicle with tires that carry a 400 tread rating (there's a somewhat aggressive alignment coming up in the near future) th-cam.com/video/lD8JDGYAc30/w-d-xo.html
Everyone liked this
Nice cut corner at @3:30 Looks like it was tricky the whole race.
Definitely not the fast way... Better to let it go than fight to keep it on
IDK that looked pretty fast until the spin. I think the driving was good!
GEt it! 🏁
Dude amazing driving! Keeping that car dancing on the limit and this drive looks deserving of a hard charger award!
Thanks for the encouragement! This is one of my highlights from the season for sure
Good track layout, my local ones dont have that many u turns just easy boring sweeping turns. Sweeping turns are more fun on a motorcycle not so much in car
Killing it! Keep up the great work.
Badass Scott ⚡️⚡️⚡️
thanks!
I enjoyed watching you guys compete wheel to wheel! Awesome driving dude!
Thank you!
Nice driving!!
YEEThaw
Becky!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Becky and Mooncake take no prisoners lol
I've been looking for a solution to all that lead acid weight for summer driving (it still gets to -40 here in the dead of winter in western Canada so I'm not to sure about getting rid of my stock battery completely just yet) and the occasional track time. About the only question you didn't answer is how thick the aluminium plate? but i'm going to take guess at 1/8". The unit does look amazing though.
the plate we added was probably right around 1/8", yeah. The Valkyrie Engineering mount kit on it's own is super strong - just put the bottom plate to clear that lip on the oem battery tray.
