This book is life-changing. I did it when it first came out decades ago and repeated it several times after that. I taught AW workshops for years too. I lived for "morning pages" for YEARS and YEARS. However, I've come to know a better way: She suggests essentially what's now called a "brain dump" the good, the bad and the ugly. Whatever is keeping you up at night or swirling around in your head. It's FAR better to focus forward, toward your future and the things you WANT more of rather than dwell in the "what is" or the "what was" and what is/was lacking. You'll get much further, much faster by spending your time and energy focusing on all the good things that are going right, right now and on what you want your life to look like from here on out. Looking back is a waste of time, you're not going that way. You don't want to get mired in the past or even in the current set of circumstances. But what your goals are, what you dream of, where you want to be...THAT's worth your time and energy. Think of it like a GPS on your phone or in your car: it matters NOT where you were yesterday, last year or ten minutes ago, ONLY where are you NOW and where do you WANT TO GO. Let's get you there from where you're at, now. Enjoy the metamorphosis 🌼
Love this insight, definitely a little more direction than the traditional morning pages!
Oh my god the dragonology handbook that brings back memories
lol I was more of a fairyopolis kind of kid
Hello. I just found out this channel, as a small artist on youtube as well, i wish you good luck on your journey.
you channel is so beautiful, I'm so glad this showed up on my feed. I'm very excited to follow this journey. I dropped off the morning pages wagon early because in the morning I felt like there was nothing on my mind. I do love the artist date idea! Yours looked so beautiful. Thank you for sharing the picture books with us. Garden Spells matches your cardigan :)
@@InfiniteText Thanks so much for spending some time with me, I’m happy you enjoyed it! I feel like a lot of people would find it easier to journal towards the end of the day, as there’s a lot more things to clear from the mind. Glad you liked the picture books, too, they’re just my favorite thing :)
Like Oak Leaf book at the end and clever the first book using the leaves to make animals..
@@petergrayartist Definitely! My students delight in finding all of the “hidden” leaf animals in Leaf Man- Oak Leaf is sure to become a classic I think
Hi, It's so interesting how different artists and writers interpretations of classic fairytales alter over time. Lovely book choices . Tfs. I wish for you a wonderful week going forward.
Thank you! I always have an eye out for fairytales and nursery rhymes- glad you enjoyed! ❤
@@marydalelane You're welcome :)
Hi Maddie. Nice to hear you're doing what you enjoy and to learn about your story!
beautiful
Instant sub.
Nice video. The stickers look like they came out pretty nice. What was the name of the company you used?
MakeStickers! The ones I ordered were their matte die-cut stickers- www.makestickers.com/products/custom-stickers/die-cut-stickers
@@marydalelane thank you!
Great video! I love the colour of those pages 😮
Thank you! I’m definitely obsessed with this sketchbook
Gorgeous work! You have such patience with the detail, and it shows.
Lovely job! It is so peaceful to watch you work.
Thank ypu.
Very nice
To be a real artist, you need an aircraft hanger. Everything else is just too damn small. Think big. Like Guernica big. Worked for Picasso.
New Sub. Here👍
Beautiful video. very nice😍
its a great video keep it up
i would like to see your other drawings
keep it up as an artist i think you will go further if you keep at it
BEAUTIFUL linework ^^ I've been around art my entire life but i think you might have created Art 2
so so so pretty! amazing job :)
WOW! great job!
