No matter what new synths I have, this synth still gets played. Loom 2 is also a great synth, however it is an 'additive' type and very unique.

I'm only just starting to understand how to use synths. I had found out already that this one sounds really nice to me. Thanks for explainig how to use it.

It does sound good. Have you compared it to Knifonium?

The reason I stopped using it was because of minor stability issues. It would some times hang and sometimes patches would not load properly. I hate ILOK. So I moved on and bought Dune 3 :-)

this synth is fucking great. i got it for one dollar in 2019 and i STILL use it.

I have Dune 3 and this...i think they are really well sounding vst....

FACE The MUSIC Captivating Frequencies got me in a zone. The High pass filter band was not my favorite. Finessin' that saturation back and forth. WHile the LFO sent me into some type of time warp. Not the nose crunch after making it dirty... THat GUy Face Got me riding 🌊waves through the galaxy.. Geezsh

Because... it does not run on M1/2/3 Macs, like a lot of their older plugins. Also, this plugin often goes for a few dollar on sales, so if you want it, wait for Black Friday. (edit: as noted it does run, but only through Intel emulation via Rosetta)

By the way that tune is a cut! I would buy it. ATR Ampex rules better get it while it’s on sale. Just like you mentioned my mix was already sounding good then I said to myself lets see what all the hype is about. And lo and behold after all the other tape emulation plugins I used in the past this one just have that next level it factor. It just took the already good mix and instantly made it shine. I don’t know what’s under the hood but I don’t give a damn it just sounds like a record. I missed the last great sale it was going for 40 bucks now with a coupon I think 60 something.anyway after October 1st it’s back to $300 Something which is freakin ridiculous but you UA.

No tape plugins still emulate the rubbery soft compression its all EQ curve and distortion. Better buy real tape

The presets are HORRIBLE. I have a Sequential prophet rev2 and it is way better. How comes that Arturia do not provide any decent preset with this software instrument? What is the point to do all this work to end up having no presets inspiring?

The Oscar is a great and underappreciated synth, but as for Stevie Wonders favourite, surely that could go to Malcolm Cecil's TONTO, The Original New Timbral Orchestra. As that was the synth used on Stevie's most legendary albums.

An amazing synth. Beautiful. I think you should take a look at Hyperion from Wavesequencer. Another stellar synth.

Just saw Behringer is interested in remaking a hardware version 😲 Then there’s PWM’s The Mantis which was the last synth designed by the OSCr creator
