I thank the GOD Most High for allowing me to be a child during the 70s. I enjoyed this music whether it was in the elevator, waiting room, at the grocery store, pharmacy , etc. There is no doubt violent times are in every decade but as a child I never saw it. Our mid-class neighborhood for the most part in Miami Gardens FL were close. My brother and I at 7 and 6 would hold the fort many a' Friday or Saturday nights as our patents went out to Dinner or a movie. During the days the doors were rarely locked and some people left their keys in the car. Talk about the height of decency of Americans even in the midst of desegregation. We were a people of many ethnicities but for the most part we cared for each other - at least in my neighborhood. Now we are somewhere down the Beginning of Sorrows Road headed for Tribulation City. To all those friends who passed on I miss you and I pray one day we meet again in the Kingdom of the GOD Most High. Halleluyah.

I'm 49 and I find myself retreating more and more into nostalgia. Friends and others I know have told me they are doing the same. It doesn't portend well for the future.

I grew up in the 60s and 70s . I was one of those weird kids that loved this style of music as well as big band swing and classical. Maybe because I grew up listening to it and of course classic country. Thanks for posting.😊❤
