And here i thought 500 was much
what’s the song name?
Bruch violin concerto in G minor 3rd movement!
@@callumsmartviolin thanks
dude it's just physics, through a phone u can't feel the difference, u can only hear different tones but not the quality
holding a bow thats a thousand pounds is crazy, how you gonna keep the bow steady to aim the arrow if its that heavy?
😂😂
May I ask you some tips how to play in tune when the first note already starts from high position🙏🏻?
@@kelvinlui7796 you can apply exactly the same system coming down. The rule of the pivot note is you shift with the same finger, and on the same string!
I will remember your comment as well for future videos to incorporate a higher position into it too:)
@@callumsmartviolin Thank you very much for your help! I like your tutorial! I will definitely do the exercises you demonstrated.

😀😀
Money dosent mean anything, practice is the one
I couldn't do it the way every other violinists on TH-cam teaches. This is how I learned it by accident and it sounds like vibrato too!
There’s lots of different approaches and ways so it’s good to try many ways and go with what works best for you 😃😃
@callumsmartviolin Ah this makes me happy, because I thought I was doing it the "wrong way" but this is really encouraging! Thanks!
Yes part 3 🔥🔥🙏🙏
You got it!!
I appreciate you making these, man. There so perfectly to the point, not a wasted millisecond, and they're genuinely helpful to me as I'm on my lovely journey to learn this beautiful instrument. Thanks bro ❤
@@LukeNasti thanks so much for this message! It means a lot, and I’m so happy to help you on your journey!:)
@@callumsmartviolin Wish I had a good guide to link you to. TH-cam and social media platforms, in general, don't reward good teachers. Society most of all. Try collaborating with a team of teachers and video editors IT people, to have a business plan in place.
I practice the notes with my eyes closed. I don't know if its correct, but with this tecnique i teach my fingers where to fall and my ears to identify if the note is on tune.
It’s a great thing to practice with eyes closed! We can remove a lot of distractions! Also helpful to look very closely sometimes too, a mix between both is perfect:)
Should I make a part 3? 20 likes and I will!
also try using tapes on the notes you can’t get then slowly try to not look at the tapes and in a few weeks you can take them off!
That’s a nice idea! Thanks for sharing:)
🔥🔥
🙏🙏
Pro tip: don't leave three fingers on the string when vibrating
Thank for sharing! We can definitely have more freedom when we don’t keep all the fingers on the string! That’s why chords become so tricky! Perhaps another video topic:)
Great tip!
Thank you 🙏
Come back tomorrow for Part 2! What’s a bad practice habit you have? Comment below with it to get rid of it in 2025!
Not tune. Need to go slowee
Tough crowd 🤣
🔥🔥🙏 Getting a narrow vib is hard
The narrower vib in general the firmer the finger!
Is that rondo capriccioso by Saint Saens?
It is, good ears!!
@callumsmartviolin thank you. I used to play it)
What do you find hardest about Vibrato? ⬇️
🔥🔥🔥
😃😃
Just like my violin playing sounds much softer and relaxing during my personal practise session. But it sounds badly and stiff while playing in front of my teacher😅
It’s always much harder to play in front of your teacher, don’t worry, you’re not alone!!
"Beauty lies in the hands of the player, not in the type or price of the bow."
Very true! But nice bow and violin helps too:)

@AyaanshMahendra haha yes 🤣🙈
i don't play violin have never looked up violin tips or anything but will keep this in mind for when I am eventually resurrected thanks

What actually happens in the practice room: *aggressive tuning for 3 hours just to have the peg slip 1 more time*
YES 🙌
Well all the difference is in how it feel, not how it sounds
🔥🔥 Sight reading is a tough one for me
Noted!
Students practice until they get it right. Professionals practice until they can’t get it wrong.
@@Violaman0910 love it! Although plot twist, we do often get things wrong too;)
@ truth.
As ever great vid. I don’t find ricochet over 4 strings that hard and your vídeo is very clear on how to do it. But i struggle with say two notes on one string and three on the next like in kreisler’s danse espagnol towards the end. I guess it’s a matter of keeping losoe as you sugest. Not something one can practice slowly? There is also a difficult bit in Zigeunerweisen that has even more notes.
So true… all the practices are amazing and yet we somehow fumble in the finale. The key is to play it off like it was intentional!! :)
@@PunyBasilisk758 absolutely!!
This is why people often joke that the better the final practise goes, the worse the performance lol. Atleast in Finland
Hahah that is so true!!
I now only play badly in rehearsals 🤣
Literally the exact instruction i needed just now
