Hello! Thank you very much for this interesting discussion about achieving an eletrified society. At the begining Andreas said that the sectors of sector coupling are like the life areas in their ecosystem strategie. Does that mean that the way you worked developing the ecosystem model, was replacing the Life Areas given on the book and adapted them to the business proper life areas? I am starting with the ecosystem model at my work which is also in the energy digitalization, renewable energies integration and power optimization branch and I find myself only in one maximum two from the Human Life Areas. Dear Gianela, thanks for your question. The 10 life areas are fixed since we think that they are stable also in the future. In our experience, from the first glance, companies identify a small amount of life areas as relevant for them. Nevertheless, if you think in a broader context about needs in human life you can adress with partners with an integrated offering/experience, you will cover more life areas. In order to facilitate this thinking, we have created ecosystem domains as the leading structure which cover different life areas to identify relevant topic fields for new business models with an ecosystem perspective (pls. see our blog article or also in the book). The ecosystem domains (and subdomains) for your context could be for instance smart energy, zero emission economy or smart production. With the help of the ecosystem domains, you can do the scoping for new ecoystem business models mirrowing the potential with your existing assets and then drilling the most relevant ideas down to a business model level.
