The thing I’m struggling with is understanding who is speaking. The text boxes don’t always have arrows, pointing to the person who is speaking. I usually think that if there’s no arrow, then it’s someone outside of the frame, but then sometimes context clues tell me that it is the person in the frame. It gets really confusing and I just wanna know who’s talking sometimes.

I honestly can't believe this actually helped by the third example I figured out the pattern before you put the numbers on screen another helpful tip I think you should've mentioned is to pay attention to the dialogue cause you also read the dialogue from right to left up and down then move to next panel repeat (if it has dialogue)

If you could only just see the thumbnail carefully , you will learn how to read it ( with a just little bit of commonsense obviously for manga panels like manga panels of berserk ). You don't just need to watch a 6 min video
