Rose - Worlds Apart [1979, jazz-rock, fusion, jazz-funk, full album]
มุมมอง 65611 หลายเดือนก่อน
Stepping out at the end of the decade, this album sees Rose toying with the thin barrier between fusion and jazz-rock, always seeming to be experimenting with his dosage of the genres. Although rooted in the greats of the genre that preceded him throughout the 1970s, Rose really has little more to explore this late in the game aside from his own interpretation of fusion. The result is a sound r...

WARNING: There is a terrible scratching noise starting at 33:35 and ending at 33:43. This is here in case you want to skip it. Chico Hamilton has always been a name that's stood out to me. Not only are his albums pretty common and cheap, but the content is always top-grade. I became familiar with his 1970s material and worked back from there. I dug this record out of a dollar bin, and it was pr...

Despite the many skips throughout the beginning of A1, I uploaded this album because it's just a great example of Latin jazz blended in with late-1970s fusion. It's nothing groundbreaking, nothing innovative; it's just really good music written and performed by really good musicians. I'll keep my eye out for a better copy, then I'll re-upload. *A1: Growing 00:04 *A2: King Kong's Honkey Blues an...

Let me first and always examine myself 😔
2 longues vidéos de publicité qui veut nous fourguer sa merde!
If that 'Riversong' is generated without a microphone through a vocoder then it is some spooky chanelling through the aether fields of a brahman priest singing mantras and prayers...
It's not the music itself, it's the start of "tonto's" journey. Thanks for sharing this recording. I was searching a while for this.
There’s a very interesting interview with Robert Margouleff (engineer/builder of T.O.N.T.O.) on youtube about an hour and a half long, he’s 83 now sadly Malcom Cecil has passed. Robert is captivating with his knowledge and his stories of building the perfect “machine” besides his recording methods over the early years. Truly a gem that help kick start many variations of music. It’s titled, “Producing Stevie Wonder & the Synth that changed Music Robert Margouleff story. Give it a watch, you won’t be disappointed!!!!
I have this album in my vinyl collection. To construct a version of The Original New Timbral Orchestra was always an aspiration of my own. Now possible thanks to EuroRack synthesis!
Very corny, the dead -end novelty synthesiser approach, the type of which that gave electronic music a bad name.
Some people should be invisible and silent. Particularly those who know not of which they speak.
to me this sounds futuristic even now... I think the Roger Powell LP "Cosmic Furnace" is also in this vein.
Oh yes, that why Stevie Wonder knocks on their doors after hearing this sounds. A bad name :-)
All due respect what approach or album in any genre is not corny ?
@@dfreeman120 'Wish You Were Here' from the album of the same name by Pink Floyd - not corny at all. 'Nimrod' from 'The Enigma Variations' by Edward Elgar - not at all corny. IMHO, your statement is extremely corny.
A promo copy! You lucky ........ erm, person!!! I am very jealous. I got this album in 1972 I think, not sure, and this greatly influenced my and my wife's musical tastes. A fantastic album, a real ground-breaker and innovator of many future styles of music. They are/were unique. Not many people will know now that the lyrics in Riversong is not a human vox FX-ed but is completely created by and originating from within Tonto! I also got their second album the year it came out.
There are parts of that section where, though it is likely abstract, actual words can be heard, to me sanscrit and english and the microtonal inflections give it a distinctly indian flavoured melodic bent.
yes💫👍🏻...
I am a synth fanatic, I love every thing from Larry fast , Vangelis, even Gorge's Under the mercy wall and Syrinx, and Stockhausen I heard of Tonto's Expanding Headband but never heard the sounds this is my first listen . I love this very much . I want very much to get the CD of all TEHB albums for my collection.
Glad to hear! I highly recommend checking out Ma, Dolce Vita by Baffo Banfi, also on my channel. If you like synth work, this album is madness
@@arkestralmuseFM thank you I will check that out for sure
@@larrygrigga3374Thanks to my father RIP, I grew up on the same likes, Vangelis, Synergy (Larry Fast), Tomita, Walter (Wendy) Carlos, ELP, Triumvirat, etc. also, including rock, jazz, fusion jazz, classical. My love/addiction for music and high-end audio $$$$ has never stopped, Thanks DAD!!!!!!
@@huskydaddy-y5y right now I am building a large synth system it contains 2 Behringer Model D's , a Behringer neutron , a Pro 1, an BARP 2600, Korg M50, Kurzweil K2000, Korg Triton extreme 88, and a large euro-rack system 18 rack spaces high that is the basis for my kit but there is much much more . I love hearing what others have done its funny but after all these years I can hear the approach to recording and how it is filtered or processed .
Great sound, great Horn. Thanks. Rio de JANEIRO Brasil.

He was my idol on B 3 Hammond in the 70s. I sang and played a lot of his tunes on my B 3 Hammond when I was in a Top 40s band in L.A. nightclub circuit. I used to have this album but sold it, and now I am 76 years, old.
This album is so slept on ! It’s almost criminal actually

A long time ago I interviewed Bob Brookmeyer in Rotterdam. A nice and intellectual man.
I agree about Chico Hamilton. Everything I listened from him is what I like about a good jazz album from that era. Accessible, enjoyable, swinging. One of my favorite albums is Tanganyika, with Buddy Collette.
criminally underrated and stealthy record
UNBELIEVABLE ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE 💯 👏🏾 ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️🪫🔋🔋🔋
My childhood,years of beautiful music.
Супер!!!😊
That Arise, Rise intro is so hard. Love the exotica influence on Quiet Sky.
I heard this band three or four times in person in 1971. Loved them. I was disappointed in the album, however, when it came out. I thought they were so much better live!
I love using music like this for working out
A great album. I love his guitar style.
Purty gud 👍🏻
A true Renaissance man and a certifiable musical genius!
So glad I found this. I have this LP. Took a few jazz piano lessons from the keyboard player at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.
This is beautiful, thanks for the upload. I always love finding gems like this on the internet before they get a bunch of views.
Yes, indeed thank you!
Watch the Wizard Of Oz on mute while simultaneously playing this album. Blows Pink Floyd away.
Really like this album. Side B is actually very good, better than side A.
