As a watch guy I think it’s cool to see all these younger women really going after these smaller ladies watches! I hope the trend of women wearing giant watches is fading. These “cocktail watches” really looked good on the wrist shots! Looks like they got some good deals and had a blast!

I would loved to have had a look around that market to catch a bargain, never been to a watch and coin one before, there was a second hand flee market at Covent Garden market on Monday’s here in London, one seller had some really nice period watches for sale - years ago, sadly now moved away to another part of north London, at least you made perfect 👌.

I liked the Elgin, I mostly buy from specialist sellers on ebay, a chap who sells French watches from Bulgaria, I takes time to get something without a scratch from the 1950’s that’s hard to find.

They are called car boot sales here in the UK. It’s a lot of junk, really, stuff that seller knows nothing about, watches in bags that are scratched, working/not working, you’ll take put luck in finding an 18K 1950’s Rolex, anything of real value.

Mostly a lot of run of the mill watches, I did see some nice 50’s period or older watches, think I would have needed more time to get to know the sellers, instead of making snap decisions when buying.

The Elgin clear box looks to be a complete movement (well from a distance). I would think that handy to someone. The watch boxes will get your money back, i think the plastic two tone one probably the rarest. All can make a profit all you need is time and patience.
