thanks for making this video, really cool of you to present this country and island, it's history and it's unfortunate future. i hope to visit before tabuaeran island and kirimati island are too far gone, hopefully sailing my own boat south from hawaii, after leaving from the central coast here in CA. it's one of my main goals of the nextfew years. want to ride the waves(there are a few breaks that on their day are quite epic indeed), before the breaks too dissappear under water and as always meet the ppl who live there.

The Europeans didn’t colonise Tonga because Tonga had nothing they wanted for trading purposes.

Fanning island is infact an atoll, that is build by corals.Climate change might be a bonus in bringing nutrients from the ocean floor(bad weather)accelerating coral growth.Atolls will disappear if corals cease to grow.

Last I heard of Kiribati, satelite surveys indicated an Increase in actual land area, quite contrary to what you advocate here. Sea level is NOT rising, global temperature is actually Cooling (as was indicated by data collected prior to early 1990's, before the corruption of temperature data commenced).

Having lived in Tonga for a couple of years This presentation was appreciated greatly. The presenter has a very good delivery style; the visuals were pertinent. May I suggest a relook at the pronunciation of 'Tonga', 'Neiafu', 'Houma', and 'archipelago'. Cheers
