I have the same set and the cam wheel does not hit. Wierd. Edit... mine WAS rubbing. Good thing I looked after watching. We are going to try shimming the oil pump gear out about .100 ( same thickness as spacers on back of oil pump) in order to get the gear on the crank to come thru the oil pump like it should letting the dampner hit the gear on the crank.

Hi! I have a question, although it is not about rebuilding the engine. My 99 3kgt SOHC has a problem, and I think it is the PTU that needs to be replaced. But I tried to search for videos on the website about DIY replacement of this part, but most of them are about DOHC engines, so I saw your video and wanted to see if you know the specific location of the PTU?

Nice work Kidd. You can make that steering wheel Look a lot better with some black shoe polish I use the past kind in the metal can kiwi brand is good. Rub it in good let dry few min and rub in more till it’s all black the after 5 min or so just shine it up with clean dry rag. Quick easy looks great.
