Zebra attacks African Wild Dog
Close Encounter Adventures clients had the incredible sighting in the Kruger National Park South Africa. Our guide took us to an area where the pack of wild dogs were the past few days and without having any luck to spot them, we stopped at a waterhole and watched a herd of Elephants come in and drink water. As we turned around we noticed the pack of wild dogs were on their way to the water.
We decided to follow the pack for a bit and they stumbled upon some Zebra stallions feeding. The young pups immediately formed a line and confronted the Zebras head on. As soon as the one Zebra turned on the young pups, they started running off but one pup was to slow for the stallion and the Zebra bit his leg and ran over him as he fell down.
The video might seem graphic for some viewers but at the end of the day it's what happens in nature everyday. And we were privileged enough to witness this amazing sighting.
