Wow, all these years i've been looking for that perfect deadmau5 pluck sound, and here it is. Did he use this synth specifically?
He never used it, it was virus in 2005, but after only serum for plucks. He works on windows only, there are no Logic pro x.
@@AlexOskin well I have alchemy on windows, It used to be owned by Camel Audio before apple bought them.
Regardless, Joel almost exclusively uses serum and strobe for vst's, from what I've seen. But most virtual analogs will do this sound perfectly. Sylenth, Serum, Spire, Massive, Omnisphere, Avenger, Diva, Zebra, Hive, Repro maybe, Avenger, Synthmaster, Rapid, Icarus are the ones I have that I know can do this sound
This is on top volume version how to do this right after synth but before deland/reverb insert. I need to do ambient swells like in guitar.

Just choose a saw wave on one sound source, increase the oscillator count to four or six, turn up the detune slightly. Then choose a 4-pole filter and modulate it with an envelope, no attack, shortish decay, low sustain and short release. Add a tad of delay and reverb, done.
