If I have my timeline right, I have to wonder if Sweet had a bit of influence on Cheap Trick. This song could have easily been a Cheap Trick tune.

Why didn't they do the song in a lower key? It is obviously hard for both Steve and Brian to hit the high notes!

When we showed this clip to Steve in 2007 he said, and I quote: "Thank the stars I have obliterated that from my memories ". RIP Steve, Brian and Mick.

I always loved the fact that they started off as a bubblegum band, it was all in the name of fun then they progressed when they needed to. So many rock bands take themselves far too seriously and have no humour, Sweet were never like that and that's why people still talk about them now. Good times.

I remember that it did not come that many people that time in Luleå for this show (the first time they were in my town it was ALOT poeple in the crowd) , and Sweet played alot of songs but skipped Ballroom blitz and got off the stage for some reason. Then all of the people in the crowd who had payed alot of money got pissed of and startet to yell WE WANT BALLROOM BLITZ until they actually got out and performed it anyway!

great band if sweet had played with the who at charlton in 1974 it would have kickstarted there uk rock carreer but beacause of what happend to brian at that time it didnt happen and big mistake they never capitolised on no uk tours or festivals after 1974 so howwas the so called real rock fans ever gonna here those great songs or albums.sadly wasnt to be.if they had a good managment team which they never had in the uk.they would have been a stadium band sadly wasnt to be.

I can...fell him, but they sold out...wich is ok, but Sweet did it for too long. They could have SO great, as a true rockband...they were, but it all went wrong .. in my book I love Sweet, but they did it so wrong. Sweet FA. proved their power. A great album.

He`s a very professional guy and it`s no secret anymore that he wrote a major deal of the Sweet material although the band got fairly credited - Maybe also somewhat bitter about the outcome of his career as he could have easily fit in the league of a Blackmore, Page or Townsend. Now being aware of an underrated musician, fighting and working hard to compensate past days and not getting that far as he wanted.

i would lIke to see 5 seconds of summer do a cover of this.
