Thanks so much for making this video. 60 years have passed since I last travelled on a tram on this line and I could remember and maybe half-remember parts of the trip. It was interesting to pass an old double decker tram. I certainly recall how rickety they were. I surprised myself at how much I enjoyed your video. Thanks again.

I did a tour of the entire Underground in 1966! Lucky enough to go to Ongar and back. A beautiful leafy journey. Never forgotten. I remember crossing the little bridge at Epping Station, still unchanged.
Anyone wondering, its for the (partially) blind. slow tick is red, fast tick is green, alternating slow/fast is light about to change to red, you should not start crossing
Exactly. Its nice and civilised. Even the blind can safely cross the busy street unaided in the Netherlands.

I've never heard "Warning, more than one train may be approaching" before. Must be a new thing
I think that they when they first started installing these alarms, they had two messages (like this crossing). As well as "More than one train may be approaching", on a double stay, it also said "Do not cross, another train coming". I think that they may have removed the "More than one train may be approaching" and have kept the double stay message. There should video about it here: th-cam.com/video/ppXlm9y2FF0/w-d-xo.html. Milton Fen doesn't have the "Warning, more than one train may be approaching".

Not sure where it was going, but it was in that direction.
Most likely King's Cross calling at all stations, i was there just recently and saw a 700 heading towards king's cross on a all-station service.

Before the foot crossing was closed I used to visit that location often until I visited for the last time at the beginning of 2014. I've never been there since.
Shame they closed it, but the site is much safer now.
You can still see the miniature lights, which worked at the time I visited. The alarms no longer sound.

I know! I think Network Rail are planning to upgrade this crossing, as they have done with a few crossings on the West Anglia Main Line already. Hinxton (which is very close and also had halogens) has been upgraded.
