I love these MiniDV video’s. I’ve still my old but working dcr pc1 and would like to use this camera again. The only problem are the batteries. They are ‘end of life’ and I can’t find any replacements.... Too bad 😢
Cool les photos 👍👍📷📷🎞🎞
Aww thank you!!!
Widelux Is one of my dream cameras but oh god if it's expensive
Trueeeeee!!! I can’t imagine how much the new one’s going to cost haha
@femigod I need to start saving up money
Thank you for your presentation with your photo walk in NYC . You provide a different approach in that you use film and by visual representation you demonstrate the art of photography. Today with the development of digital and computational technology with camera , software we lost our roots in film . Film makes you slow down contemplate , study before you press the shutter button. I must “ Confess “ when photography was heading digital I sold off my film cameras .. Do I miss my Nikon FE , Canon A1 … maybe it’s time to rethink and purchase a good used Nikon FE . Once again THANK YOU for your hard work and your message … I am now a subscriber ! Best wishes
I couldn’t agree more, and it is exactly those moments where you slow down and capture that I hope to celebrate through this channel. I’m glad it’s inspired you to potentially pick film photography back up again. So glad to have you along for the adventure, and thank you for watching!!
This is a bit late but you can actually get higher angles if you hold the camera upside down over your head and compose looking at the viewfinder. I’ve done this with my Yashica mat and RB67. 😊
Ohhhhhhh I like that!! Super cool
Excellent Laura
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
nice, nice, regards from Austria
Oh awesome, thanks for watching!!
Really interesting foto. I always like old technic things. You can really trust it. I like the way and style you present you video. 👍📸
Thank you, so glad you like it!!
A 20-minute-long video from Lau? Hell yes! I loved it. I just recently got my Kodak Gold 200 film for my Pentax K1000, and I’m so excited to start using it! What do you think were the reasons behind the underexposed images on Halloween, considering it was ISO 800? This question really intrigues me! Thank you so much. I loved this video with all my heart.
Awww that’s so awesome I’m so excited for you!! And that’s a great question, I was wondering that myself. I rented this widelux and I was wondering if maybe the aperture was stuck stopped down/at a slower speed. I also think the streets may have been a bit darker than I anticipated.
👍👍📷📷🎞🎞🙂🙂Musique ZEN et magnifiques photos 🙂🙂🎞🎞📷📷👍👍
Aww thank you!!!

I like the Widelux images. Jeff Bridges can take Jeff Bridges shots. You take yours. It was a bold choice to shoot slide film, given the F7’s limited shutter speeds. Did you end up with any Provia shots that were unusably over or under exposed?
Aww I appreciate that. And yeah definitely! Nothing too crazy but I did get a few that were a little too over for my liking. But most of it came out pretty decent!
Ya had my attention at F3. Hands down my favorite camera. Ever. Great video.
Awwww thank you so much!! I love it so much too haha
Hi Laura. One of my favourite books was shot on a SX70. 'The Polaroids' by Andre Kertesz. Enjoy the rest of your day and regards from London (A short walk from Ealing Studios).
Aw that’s amazing, thank you so much for the recommendation, I will have to check it out!
@femigod It contains some achingly beautiful images shot after being widowed.
Holy 90’s interlacing vibes batman!! 😊
Hahaha yes!!!
Old tech makes for the best content making. Gear is a lie. I like your style
Thanks, I totally agree. Glad you like it!!
Great shots. Which lens were you using on the F3 here?
Thank you!! It was the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Series E AIS Manual Focus Lens
At 1:50 it is already clear for me: you don't get it! First: Jeff Bridges always shot B/W with his Widelux. Being CLOSE to the action on his film sets. I saw lots of his work in PREMIERE movie magazine, back in the 2000s. A panorama from the Staten Island Ferry with this camera is nothing but boring. Especially when tilted, resulting in a curved horizon.
You clearly missed the point of this video if that’s your takeaway.
F3 a solid camera, great choice. try the FM3a if you can one of Nikon best.
I will definitely add it to my list, thank you!!
Really love your work! Beautiful photos and videos. Love the relaxed tone and approach.
Awww thank you so much, so glad you enjoy it!
love the relaxing feeling this video gives, not like some of the younger Photograhers who seem to make a game out of street photography , who can be the most entertaining for example. thanks for sharing. and btw what lens where you using on the F3.
Thank you so much!! It’s my goal to reflect the meditative aspect of photography as much as possible, and I’m really glad you enjoy it. And it’s the: Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Series E AIS Manual Focus Lens. Thanks for watching!!
widelux the worst panoramic camera... use a Noblex!
Super interesting- what do you like best about the Noblex??
Just found your channel via reference from Pekka Keskinen’s fantastic channel. Loved this video, so enjoyable. Thank you for posting and sharing.
Awww I’m so glad to hear that!! Thanks for watching and welcome!
Such a relaxing and interesting video, the f3 photos are great. Keep up the great work.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh, what a wonderful video presentation. I think it’s time for me to become a subscriber to your channel. 😊
Awww thank you!!
The F3 shots are gorgeous!
Aww thank you!!
That was really a nice video presentation. I truly did relax and enjoy your walk-through Manhattan. I cannot wait to see more of your content. 😊
Awww that means so much, thank you!!
love your photos and that f3 so much! i want more joy and her seagull! she captures light and contrast so well! this is going to be a long and grand journey and i am enjoying every bit of it with you :)
Aww thank you so much, I am so happy to hear that. Thank you for watching!
@femigod thank for letting as have a peek at your amazing work!
Such an underrated channel!! I love LOVE your storytelling and the photos. I also really enjoyed listening to your friends thoughts about photography while displaying her photos. You are so inspirational, thank you for the hard work in putting videos like this together!! 🙏🫶🥰
Awwww that truly means so much, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm sure Joy will be happy to know you liked that too!!
Welcome to Taiwan! For the light leaks, it's not because of the camera since it's red/orange but not white light so it probably for Cinestill reloading the motion films to the film can. These happened sometimes when I used to shoot cinestill especially for 800T.
hey, this is the first video of yours i watched and based on your intro, i subscribed. keep sharing what you're doing
Thanks so much!! I really appreciate it
i like how you colorgraded the video clips. they look like film too!

Yay I’m so happy! Thank you for watching
amazing video as always!
Awww thank you so much!!
The widelux worked really well , but I don’t think it’s a camera for me . The Seagull worked nicely .
Yes Joy’s pictures on the Seagull were awesome!!
It was so cool and interesting to watch! As if I´ve been for a little journey. Thank you
Awww that truly means so much. Thank you!!
Obsessed with these vibes! 😍
Awww thank you so much!!
Dang if i love this style. I need to dust off my Hi8 camera and get new batteries for it
Yessss it is so cool!! Which hi8 camera do you have??
@femigod uhmmmm honestly I don't remember! It's a generic Sony handycam!
If you think the F3 is heavy, you should try the F2 photomics.!!
Haha will definitely have to look into that one! Whenever I call a photo camera “heavy” it is always a little tongue-in-cheek- I camera operate for a living and motion/video cameras are no joke haha.
Love this😮💨 thought it would have many more views when I clicked on it
Glad to hear you like it, thank you!!
Love my mini dv cameras. I have 2 of them.
Yess, they are so fun!! Which ones do you have?
@@femigod I have a canon and I think the other one is a sony maybe. Not sure but would like to buy more down the road.
How was Ny? Did you go to B and H photo store?
Forgive this unsolicited advice, but you can remove those MiniDV scan lines from your footage in Premiere Pro by right clicking the shots, select Field Options, select Deinterlace or Flicker Removal, and those lines will disappear. The footage might soften, so also apply a mild sharpening filter. If you're using another editing software, find their Deinterlace filter and apply it. I digitize video all the time and those lines always annoy me. Cheers.
Thank you!! They honestly don’t really bother me but I’d definitely be interested to try this out in the future. Appreciate it!
